Huerta Montero in Rana Verde in Chiclana is a super large rustic original Spanish villa, which has been lovingly restored retaining many original features. It is unique as the main villa has been divided into 3 individual chalets with 3 separate entrances and totally independent fully equipped kitchens, living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms etc. This fantastic villa is ideal for large goups of friends and families who wish to holiday together but also enjoy some privacy when desired. However it is also possible for smaller groups to book the whole or part of the property as each part can be rented individually. In the months of July and August the Huerta Montero villa is rented soley as 1 large private unit,
The Spanish style entrance takes you into what was once the original house which has now been lovingly restored and has lots of rustic features. The main house overlooks the pools and gardens and in the vestabule offers two separate entrances. The first door takes you into the original house, a dwelling consisting of two bedrooms, bathroom. kitchen and chill out lounge area. The second door is entrance to another apartment with a large lounge, super well equipped kitchen and dining room area overlooking the pool ,one double bedroom with a king size water bed, en-suite, large walk in wardrobe, There is also easy access to the next part of the property which has its main entrance in the patio area found to the rear of the property. There you will find another self contained 2 bedroom(1 en-suite) 2 bathroom property with yet another large kitchen and living area. Furnished tastefully with high wooden vaulted ceilings which makes it cool and airy. It also benefits from its own private courtyard space.

The villa has a private 9 x 4m pool and a safe walled garden with private parking. All apartments are tastefully furnished, comfortable with quality cotton bed linen and soft fluffy towels. Most rooms have air conditioning and windows have mosquito nets. The residence is close to all local amenities including shops, bars, restaurants, tennis and riding. There is also a medical centre in Chiclana Town, where English is spoken.

Originally storage for the fruit and vegetables grown on site, the courtyard apartment is situated at the rear of the property and it is full of character and charm. It has been tastefully reformed into an independent spacious apartment with high vaulted ceilings, which gives it lots of character and a rustic feel. The lounge has a fire place with log burner, sattelite tv with DVD, music system. There are two good size bedrooms, one en-suite, plus a family size bathroom and a utility room. Most rooms have hot and cold air-conditioning units, and mosquito nets at the window. The apartment has its own courtyard with seating area.and is ideal for those meals al fresco. It is also suitable and large enough for wheelchair access and the family bathroom has been fitted with extra hand rails for easy use.
The large kitchen/diner is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave,dishwasher, etc. As most spanish homes are fitted with rejas, (bars at the windows) for your safety and peace of mind there is a fire exstinguisher/blanket plus two exits as well as the front door.
Bedrooms:2.consisting of 1 spacious Master Bedroom with kingsize bed and on suite with walk in shower with an extra seating area, handbasin, wc. Rustic pine freestanding furniture with lampshades and quality soft furnishings.
Bedroom 2 has large twin beds which can be pushed together to make double, freestanding wardrobe, bedside cabinets
Lounge.Three seater sofa with pulldown double bed, 2 seater sofa, puffy, armchair, log fire, air con, tv dvd, real Andalusioan wood drinks cabinet and sideboard. furniture.
Bathroom very large with bath, shower, bidet,wc, washbasin, mirrors. There are also extra handrails for those needing a little extra help.
CHALET APARTMENT IN HOUSE

2. Bedrooms both with single beds which can be pushed together to make doubles, freestanding wardrobes, bedside cabinets with drawer and lampshades, mirrors.

LUXURY 1 BED
Through the main entrance of the property to the right you will find another doorway which leads into the third property which consists of 1 bedroom apartment. The large lounge area has 2 three seater settes, log burner, wood furniture tv etc and in the super equipped kitchen there is a dishwasher, washing machine, modern eletric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board.
Off the kitchen there is a dining room with table and chairs for 6. This apartment is also fitted with hot/cold airconditioning, and mosquito nets. Available also is a selection of books and games. WI FI and TV with English and Spanish channels.
The spacious bedroom has a walk in wardrobe and an en-suite.

All the accommodation is set within a private and secure walled garden with it's own 9m x 4m rustic style swimming pool and outdoor shower. Mature gardens have beautiful bougainvilleas, palms, and of course pine trees, which offer shade and help keep cool in the hot summer months. Just perfect for a relaxing moment with a glass of Rioja.
The fruit trees, herbs and tomatoes grown on site are used in our cooking and guests are welcome to help themselves and although we have no lemon trees that bear fruit (at present) we will ensure you have plenty of them for all those G & Ts near the pool.
Terraces with tables and chairs, outside rustic stone clad kitchen area with BBQ and sink, umbrellas and range of loungers are provided. Pergola and shaded seating areas.
The pool and all outside areas are maintained and kept clean.
The pool is NOT fenced off therefore we advise you to consider suitability for non swimmers and small children.
The courtyard and chalet apartment are suitable for wheelchair access and we are willing to help and discuss special requirements for disabled persons. We have also placed extra hand rails in the bathroom in the courtyard. Please contact us if you wish to holiday here but are receiving permenant medical treatment and / or need to visit a hospital on a regular basis as we may be able to organise this for you.

Although we insist on no smoking inside the properties, smoking is permitted to in outside areas.

The Costa de la Luz region
The 'Costa de la Luz' (the Coast of Light) is just becoming acknowledged as one of southern Spain's finest cultural & tourist destinations. This part of Andalusia has a rich cultural and historical heritage and magnificently diverse landscapes. It's made up of pinewoods and marshland, surrounded by a national park which attracts migrating birds.
The area also has the perfect climate with temperatures averaging 20 degrees centigrade most of the year and with more than 3000 hours of sunshine.
Huerta Montero is an excellent base for touring, with Seville, Gibraltar, Bolonia, Caños de Meca and the Pueblos Blancos all within a drive away.. The nearer town of Conil is just 10 mins and the hilltop towns of Vejer de la Frontera and Medina Sidonia are only 15-20 mins. Many other places of interest include Jerez, Cadiz, Seville, Gibraltar and Tarifa. Further afield, the short ferry ride to Marrocco, 35 mins across the Straits of Gibraltar from Tarifa to Tangiers, offers an unforgettable day trip. Like most places on the Costa de la Luz, Chiclana with its coastline and facilities, (hotels, bars, restaurants) have made it into a top quality tourist destination.
The Chiclana / Rana Verde area
The traditional Spanish town of Chiclana, which is a typical Andalucian town with narrow streets and flower filled courtyards, has much to offer with its architecture, restaurants, shops and the market has an amazing variety of fruit vegetable, fish and meat stalls. The main centre around the town hall is bustling with shoppers and visitors all year round.
There are also some amazing sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast where you can spend a fantastic holiday and there are many more wonderful secluded coves just waiting to be explored. We have some of the best beaches in Spain, La Barrosa retains the Blue Flag award year after year, and its coastline and facilities make it a top quality location for year round sports and leisure activities.
There are a number of interesting monuments, bodegas and museums to visit in Chiclana or if you are lucky, you may just be here during one of the many fiestas held throughout the year.
We organise a number of themed breaks which include the Feria del Caballo, Formula one and the Moto GP as well as Golf, Painting and Cycling breaks. All the following activities can all be arranged on your behalf. Walking, cycling, golf, mountain biking, wind-surfing, fishing, diving, sailing, swimming, golf, tennis, horse riding through the pine forest or beach, quad biking.

A typical airport transfer from Jerez airport to La Barrosa would cost 70 /75 each way for 4 passengers and luggage. Up to 7 persons in 160 euros return. Local taxis can also be booked for you in advance.
You can get a train from Seville to El Puerto de Santa Maria and Cádiz. From Seville, there is a high speed train (AVE - alta velocidad Espanola) connection to Cordoba and Madrid and a direct link to Malaga.

We travelled mid July to Huerta Montero, myself, my husband and our 2 children aged 8 and 10. Flew into Malaga, easy 2.5 hour drive from there to Chiclana and a lovely welcome from Angela and Paul,... more

Within the complex there are beds for up to 10 persons plus cots available for small babies.. Price per week is for the 10 guests however there are extra double sofa beds in the Courtyard and Chalet accommodation to enable a total of 4 extra. This is subject to supplements.
Discounts available out of season and also offered on longer off peak stays of over two weeks.
We also have available space in nearby accommodation for extra large parties.

Payment is can be made in pounds, euros or online with Pay Pal with the exchange rate agreed at time of booking. Please fill in booking form and send a non-refundable deposit of 20% by bank transfer as soon as possible. Account details will be provided. There is also the option to pay a 50% deposit with the balance in cash on arrival. This deposit is also non refundable should you have to cancel.
Balance of payment plus refundable damage deposit of £200 for the whole villa or £100 for part of is due 6 weeks prior to arrival. All bank charges for transfers etc are to be paid by client. If the property is booked within 6 weeks prior to arrival, the full amount is due immediately.Enquire now
