The complex is located approximately 800m from the shopping, restaurants, bars and the spectacular fine sand beach of Playa La Barrosa.

This stunning apartment is situated on the top floor of a two-storey block, and enjoys spectacular views over the landscaped gardens, swimming pools and pine forest. Tastefully furnished throughout in contemporary style, this apartment offers two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Both bedrooms are equipped with fitted wardrobes, fans and portable electric heaters, and there are air-conditioning units in the lounge and main bedroom. For your added security, there is a wall safe in the main bedroom. There is also a cot and chairbed available, giving sleeping capacity for five plus an infant. The fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with built-in oven and ceramic hob, large fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave as well as all necessary kitchenware. The lounge/diner has a large comfortable L-shaped sofa, where you can relax and watch TV (satellite UK channels), DVDs or listen to your favourite music on the CD/radio. The dining table is extendable and seats six people, and there is ample storage space in cabinets for personal belongings. The modern bathroom boasts a full bath with shower, bidet and WC. A hairdryer is available for guests' convenience. There are also beach chairs, beachmats, bodyboards and a small barbecue on the balcony for the use of guests.

There is a small commercial centre by the Aldea del Coto complex where you can find two tapas bars/restaurants, internet cafe, hairdresser, newsagent, small grocery store, surf shop, DVD and video hire shop. Otherwise you are within about 10 minutes walk of the best choice of bars, restaurants and shopping located down by the beach area.

Conditions
Although the rental rates are quoted in Pounds Sterling, we also accept payment in € equivalent. Please check at time of booking.
Please note the above prices are for the apartment and not per person. The prices include bed linen and bath towels, as well as cleaning, electricity, gas etc. An iron and ironing board are provided.
With the exception of July and August, the rental dates are flexible. During July and August however, the minimum rental time is two weeks and although changeover days are normally Saturday/Saturday, we offer some flexibility if possible. The apartment is available all year round, and long term rentals are negotiable.
The apartment is available from 4pm on the day of arrival, and we ask that guests vacate the apartment by 10:30am on their departure day.
Please note that the pool season is currently mid-June to mid-September, outside of these times the communal pool is officially closed.

The Costa de la Luz region


The Costa de la Luz or “Coast of Light” is so-called because of its translucent skies and dazzling golden sand. Located on the Atlantic in the south-west of Andalucia, the Costa de la Luz stretches from the southernmost tip of Spain at Tarifa, as far as the Portuguese border. Here you will find hilltop villages, virtually unchanged for centuries, the world-famous sherry and brandy bodegas in Jerez, fabulous unspoilt beaches… In short REAL SPAIN.
This part of the coastline has also avoided the high-rise development seen in many other areas of Spain. This apartment is available all year round, and the area enjoys good weather even during the winter months so making it an ideal destination for golfing holidays.
Novo Sancti Petri is the closest golf course, although there are four in total in Chiclana; Novo Sancti Petri (36 holes), Campano (9 holes), Golf Melia Sancti Petri (18 holes) and Lomas de Sancti Petri (18 holes). Of course there are several others located nearby, notably Dehesa Montenmedio, Sotogrande, Valderrama.
This apartment makes an ideal base for exploring the many attractions of Andalucia. The beautiful city of Seville is within easy reach, as is Jerez, the home of sherry. Cadiz, which claims to be the oldest city in Europe is fascinating, and you can even take the 30 minute hydrofoil trip to Morocco.
The area is also rich in history, and a visit to the Roman ruins at Baelo Claudia is very rewarding. Also the famous Cape Trafalgar is within a very short drive.
The Chiclana / La Barrosa area
The most striking attraction of this apartment is its proximity to the stunning Playa La Barrosa.
Playa La Barrosa extends for some 8km, lapped by the Atlantic Ocean, and is considered to be one of the best beaches in Andalucia, if not the whole of Spain. It has been awarded Blue Flag status every year since the award was created.
The main beachfront promenade of La Barrosa has an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and tourist facilities and the Aldea del Coto complex is very well placed to take advantage of the many restaurants and bars around the Playa La Barrosa area.
Further along the beach, in front of the luxury hotels and residential developments of Novo Sancti Petri, La Barrosa beach is backed by beautiful dunes, cliffs and pine forests.
There are many opportunities to participate in sporting activities in the area. Novo Sancti Petri is the closest golf course, although there are four in total in Chiclana. The area is well equipped for horse-riding, tennis and watersports, including sailing, wind and kite-surfing, and paragliding. For those who enjoy motor sports, the racing circuit at Jerez is a popular venue for motorcycle races, and in the past has hosted F1 and European Grand Prix. It remains a popular venue for F1 tests.
Each year there are many festivals to enjoy in the Cadiz area, chief of which is probably the Carnaval which takes place at the start of Lent, usually February. This is an excellent time to visit the area, and people come from all over Spain to enjoy the party. Likewise the Easter processions in all the Andalucian towns are spectacular. And of course every town has its own feria, which means a week of celebration, drinking the local sherry and generally having a good time. Chiclana’s feria is normally held around the feast of San Antonio (13 June). However, by far the biggest feria takes place in Seville, normally two weeks after Easter

"The apartment owner deserves a 5/5 for her exemplorary attention to detail and service before during and after our holiday. The literature provided was excellent. The apartment benefits from being self-catering for those who like us like to go local with our food (& wine).There is a splendid gated private swimming pool which the apartment overlooks and has use of. The beach is about a 5 miuntes drive to the nearest point (the beach is huge!) and equally the local supermarket is a mere 5 minutes in the opposite direction. The owner's recommendations extended to restaurants and we were not disappointed. There is so much to do in the area and the apartment situation allows you easier access to the surrounding environs then if you stayed at one of the many big beach hotels. A car is essential.
Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and the holiday and we wish to return as soon as possible."

For all questions and matters Eileen took care of immediately and returned. Through this we received a lot of helpful information about the flat, but also about the surroundings, excursions, shopping possibilities, bars and restaurants and the best way to rent a car. Also we found all this information beside other tips in a briefcase in the apartment.
The whole process up of hiring, about contracting and handling of payments up to the takeover on the ground worked quickly, uncomplicated and according to previous agreements.
The flat itself is situated in a beautiful condominium; from where all above mentioned destinations are well to be reached. A car on site is recommended.
The holiday apartment is furnished very attractively and fully equipped, so that a perfect vacation is guaranteed.

I often rent vacation apartments directly from the owners and Mrs. Eileen Roche is the most helpful & communicative one. We received a very detailed information package on the apartment itself, the surroundings, attractions, reccomendations, etc. which was very helpful. The apartment has a very good location (we had a car ), 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, pretty good equipped kitchen, balcony viewing a big pool (opened 11:30-14:30 & 17-21:00), very nice. We were there in July and the pool wasn't crowded which was very good as we like to swim. There is more people there during weekends as the Spanish owners arrive Friday and leave Sunday but it's not a problem. We spent 2 weeks there: pool, beach, sightseeing: Sevilla, Cadiz, Jerez, Vejer, Medina Sidonia (I strongly recommend a restaurant at the very top of the hill, by the church, it's lovely!!!)"
