About the home

Located in the province of Cadiz, just 5 minutes drive from Barrosa Beach whose long sandy beaches are washed by the Atlantic Ocean. Chiclana is a half hour drive from Jerez de La Frontera Airport, two hours from Malaga airport, and an hour from Sevilla.
This beautifully presented villa is five minutes from Chiclana Town and walking distance from restaurants, a pharmacy and mini markets. The property offers all the peace and tranquility of a country retreat whilst being only a short distance from the town with its bars, restaurants, markets and tourist attractions.
Whether you are looking for beaches, golf, sightseeing and night life or a mixture this is a perfect location to access some of the best that Spain has to offer. Unspoilt and Traditional, this is the place that the Spanish choose to go to on their holidays!! Close to the beautiful Blue Flag rated Barrosa Beach, with its 8km of white sand and promenade restaurants, Chirringitos and tapas bars. A Short distance from the Novo Sancti Petri Tourist complex whose facilities include a Ballesteros golf course.

The house is set back from the road, approached by a private drive and the garden is fully enclosed by high walls ensuring complete privacy.

The porch is suitable for a dining table and chairs, ideal for meals and shaded from the direct heat of the sun.

The private swimming pool is surrounded by non slip tiles, and lawn. There is another smaller table and chairs with parasol, a BBQ and sun loungers.

The garden is mainly laid to lawn all around the house with three young fruit trees.

All lawn is automatically irrigated.

Minimum age 20 for couples.

Non refundable deposit of 25% required at time of booking. Balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure by bank transfer/cheque.

Damage/breakage deposit of £400 is required to be paid upon arrival. This will be returned within maximum of 7 days of vacating property, subject to satisfactory inspection however will try to fully reimburse upon departure.

Owners reserve the right to alter prices at any time

Conditions

During the peak season, changeover day is Saturday. If clients wish to have midweek bookings, the extra days will be charged to cover.

In low season midweek changeovers can be accommodated so that clients can take full advantage of Ryanair's low prices. Bookings of less than a week, will also be considered, so please contact us with your requirements.

Payment by bank/internet transfer preferred.

The Costa de la Luz region

The Costa de la Luz (Coast of light) is the western part of the Andalucía coastline that faces out to the Atlantic. The sand is finer and a more golden colour than the neighbouring Costa del Sol.

The typical beaches here are more expansive and probably backed by sand dunes and pine trees. This part of the coast has not seen the high-rise hotel development of other areas. The temperatures are slightly milder and the often strong Atlantic winds and waves are favoured by wind surfers and surfboarders alike.

The stretches of cliffs and coves are generally found to the east near Barbate and around the Campo de Gibraltar.
South of the golf at Sancti Petri we find a ragged coastline dominated by coves and cliffs often backed by pine forests. The best are located just to the north of the fishing town of Barbate and are protected in the Cliffs and Pinewood of Barbate Natural Park. Trees of Barbate. Don't miss the 'trendy' coastal villages of Conil de la Frontera, Caños de Meca, and Zahara de las Atunes, not forgetting Vejer the fortified hilltop white village 10km inland. Bolonia hamlet (visit the Roman ruins) sits in a isolated cove protected by rocky headlands.

The Chiclana / Rana Verde area

Adjacent to the salt marshes, Chiclana is not on the coast itself. Sancti Petri has become the towns summer resort extension.

The Sancti Petri Golf Course, reputed to have been designed by Seve Ballesteros, has stunning views of the sea. Opposite the town is the small island of Sancti Petri with a lighthouse and a magnificent 18th Century castle which was built by the Phoenicians on the ruins of the temple of Zeus.

The Balneario Fuenteamarga is found at the seaside town of Chiclana (only 2 min drive from the villa) and the therapeutic properties of its waters offer treatments for numerous circulatory, muscle and skin complaints.

A small ferry can be taken to visit the island in the summer. On the island is the lighthouse and 18th century castle which was constructed on the ruins of the temple of Zeus built by the phonecians.

Another typical Andalucian town with charming narrow cobbled streets and balconies festooned with flowers.

The villa is approximately 7 minutes drive from the fabulous Blue Flag beach of La Barrosa and the unspoilt Costa Sancti Petri beaches. The abandoned village of Costa Sancti Petri has a fishing harbour, marina and a water sports centre. A slightly longer drive in the direction of neighbouring Conil will take you to a choice of more secluded coves.

There is also a 24/7 Clinic in Chiclana Town, where English is spoken, should you be unfortunate enough to have a medical problem while on holiday.

Jerez, our local airport is just 35 minutes from Casa Melosa. The small number of flights handled means that once you have your hire car, you can be on your way very quickly. We have found Carjet.com very competitive, providing an excellent service.

Monarch fly Luton to Gibraltar and Manchester to Jerez .
Clickair (low cost subsidiary of Iberia) flies from Gatwick to Seville.

“Excellent facilities and location” A very self sufficient villa with all essential commodities. A quiet location but very close to the beach and the town using a car. Fully air conditioned which was essential
