Lodge | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Swansdown Lodge is a three bedroomed, contemporary, stylishly furnished lodge set on the banks of a beautiful lake. The lake is also used by a local water skiing club who offer day memberships (April to Oct). Contact us for more info.
We have furnished the lodge simply but with 5* style and comfort in mind. We have a fab sofa and memory foam mattresses on the single beds. All the bed linen is of a high spec and the beds are made up for you on arrival. We have a very well equipped kitchen with a five burner hob. The lodge also has full central heating and air conditioning for the summer months. We have FreeSat TV, DVD player and an i-pod dock for your entertainment and, if you do get bored of the view, you can always have a go on the X-Box.
The upper deck is enclosed with gates at either end and is fully furnished with a large circular table and chairs, two sun loungers and, no deck would be complete without a steaming hot tub, which is available all year round. The lower deck has a sofa and two chairs, two jetties and swans that come and visit.
But don't think that the lodge is only suitable for the warmer weather, its lovely and cosy in the winter too. Snuggle up on the squashy sofa and watch the swans and geese on the lake. Why not try the hot tub on a clear night and gaze at the stars. Swansdown Lodge truly is a year round destination.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for leaving a lovely note in the guest book. The lodge has a programme of repairs each year. Inside is decorated every two years and this spring it was painted outside, as you can imagine being right by the lake it does take a lot of weather. The job for next spring is the decking. Yes there is some road noise, but usually the birdsong and ducks calling make up for it and by being near to the good communication links that the road offers it makes Swansdown a great base for exploring the lovely area. Thank you for being such lovely guests, please do make a return visit.

"fabulous place to stay with a lovely view"
we had a fabulous time, hired it for my son and I to have quality time together, plus had some girlfriends down for one day. We were lucky and had very hot weather. A couple of my friends even swam in the lake!! very handy for chichester town - recommend the Raymond Blanc restaurant where we had a lovely meal.
Bit overpriced for the lodge, but lots of special touches to make it memorable. We will be going again. two large decking areas with lots of luxury seating.
Glad you enjoyed your stay, I look forward to seeing you again.
