Enquire nowThe South East England / Sussex region
The Sussex Region is famous for its coastal resorts and harbours, but also for the beautiful countryside and pretty villages of the South Downs. Chichester Harbour sits just across the water from the Isle of Wight and enjoys its own warm and sunny microclimate. To the east of Chichester is the historic town of Arundle with its ancient castle and further east the busy city of Brighton with its famous pavilion and piers. To the west is Portsmouth with the Spinnaker Tower overlooking the port, and Gunwharf Quays shopping area. Chichester harbour is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is home to a huge range of wild birds. Old Bosham itself is the most beautiful of villages. It is a gateway to other small coastal sailing villages like Itchenor. Take the small ferry across from Smugglars lane ( bicycles allowed) and enjoy seeing the sailing craft on the water. Dell Quay is another favourite place to stop off for a drink and watch the world go by.
The Chichester / Bosham area
The lovely beach of West Wittering is a few miles from Old Bosham by road or just a mile by water. The beach is well managed and clean with safe bathing areas. Enjoy a long walk along the sands in the evening as the sun goes down over the channel. Goodwood Race Course, Goodwood Motor Circuit and Goodwood House are a 15 minute drive away. The famous Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival are two key events in Goodwood's busy calendar. There is plenty to see and do in Chichester itself with the much visited Chichester Cathedral, the Pallant House Art Gallery, a lively farmer's market and a wide range of shops and restaurants. Chichester Festival Theatre is renowned world wide and each year produces a wide spectrum of cultural/musical events.

Spent a great week in Glenco with husband, daughter and grandson. The flat was very well furnished, really comfortable beds and very clean, also with a bit of a sea view! Glenco is in the heart of the village, conveniently situated for all the sights of Bosham, with Bosham walk just across the road and the pubs, The Anchor Bleu and The Berkley Arms, within short walking distance, also Close to the Church and quay. Being able to park the car right outside the house was also very convenient. My grandson was happy to see there were games for him to play that the owner had thoughtfully put out for him. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay there again. |

Lovely flat - clean and spacious with everything we wanted for a weeks stay. Well equipped - especially the kitchen. Very comfortable bed. Lots of wardrobe space. Easy to find with car parking outside. Bosham is a lovely quiet village with great places to walk in the evening - especially watching the tide coming in. Glenco is only about a 1 minute walk from the Anchor Bleu pub - good food and real ale. If you want to eat I would recommend popping round to the pub to reserve a table as it gets busy. Nearest big supermarket is Tesco by A27 Fishbourne Roundabout - but Coop nearer on edge of village about 2 mins drive. From Bosham its easy to drive to Fishbourne, Chichester, Selsey, Bognor Regis or South Downs National Park. |
