The South East England / Sussex region

On the edge of the proposed South Downs National Park and in the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Itchenor is an ideal location to explore with plenty of culture with Chichester Theatres and Art Galleries, Stately Homes and Gardens. Portsmouth is nearby, the home of the Royal Navy with Nelson's flagship HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose - historic ships and dockyard for all to explore. Shopping in the Georgian city of Chichester or the modern Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth. Blue Flag sandy beaches for all ages to enjoy with separate dog friendly beaches plus the seaside resorts of Brighton, Hastings and Eastbourne as well as the historic towns of Rye and Arundel - this area has much to offer visitors.

West Sussex offers excellent walking, cycling, yachting and horseracing (Goodwood)

East Sussex is home to the rolling South Downs and the 'long man' a 69-foot chalk drawing on the hillside. Sussex is within easy reach of London.

At Dell Quay, a couple of miles from Itchenor, stunning views of the estuary can be experienced from The Crown & Anchor along with great food, served all day. This pub is on the cycle path that runs from the cottage.

At the village of Bosham there are several pubs to chose from, one being The Anchor Bleu that overlooks the water and serves good food and real ales.
