Luxury Penthouse in Chichester
Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
This penthouse flat has south-facing balcony, lounge and kitchen so is flooded with light. It has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard for your comfort and is perfectly suitable for 1 - 4 guests. The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed. The 2nd bedroom also has a 5ft double bed but this can be separated to form 2 comfortable single beds, each with its own headboard. The en-suite bathroom has a shower. The other bathroom, which is opposite the 2nd bedroom, has a shower over bath. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with ample hanging space. There is a roomy storage cupboard for your suitcases. The kitchen has everything you need - electric oven, gas hob, ample cooking pots and pans, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. We have provided enough crockery, cutlery and glassware to be able to fill the dishwasher before switching it on! We have furnished and equipped this place to a very high standard - our own!. If you really want a home from home, then this apartment is your kind of place!
One of the greatest problems in any city is parking. Not in Roman Quarter! We have our own gated garage underneath the apartments. Your space is close to the lift access. You simply don't need a car for Chichester itself. t is so lovely to be able to walk around the corner to Carluccio's or Bistro Blanc. Chichester is said to have an eating place for each day of the year! A few steps further and you have Woody's and beyond that the Spanish Tapas Restaurant, El Castizo. There's a fabulous French restaurant just beyond the Festival Theatre called Comme Ca or take a drive out into the surrounding countryside to try any number of great pubs. It is fabulous being able to walk into the town centre from your flat. All the high street names are here and there is always a cafe close by. Absolutely no parking hassles. It's all within very easy walking distance. When you do want to roam further afield, it's so quick to pick up the A27 and drive along the coast. Or take one of the country roads towards Goodwood, Petworth, Arundel and many lovely villages. We even have Roman Villas at Fishbourne and Bignor!
West Sussex is one of the prettiest corners of Southern England and is really worth getting to know.

The South East England region
South East England has so much to offer. We have both seashore and river banks to explore and enjoy, home to a wide array of wildlife and plants. There are marinas, walking paths, beautiful villages and towns beside these waters and many excellent restaurants. The South Downs both protect us from the worst of the weather and also offer a wonderful array of charming villages, country roads and lovely country pubs. Between the lure of the waters and the backdrop of the Downs, the South Coast boasts some of England's finest Cathedral Cities such as Chichester and Winchester. There are many fascinating coastal settlements including Portsmouth, Selsey, Bosham and Littlehampton. Just a short ferry ride away is the lovely Isle of Wight with its calm, time gone by feel.
You can easily spend a week or two, travelling around this fascinating area of England.
Chichester was founded at least 2000 years ago by the Romans. It was they who set up the roads that cross the centre of the town, still known as North, South, East and West Streets. Vestiges of the old Roman Walls still remain along East Walls and there are 2 Roman Villas at Bignor and Fishbourne. The Cathedral in Chichester, dating back to the 12C, is the centre of the Catholic Church of East and West Sussex. A beautiful yellow sandstone building soaring up from West Street, it offers many cultural events throughout the year. More recently, Chichester has become a thriving commercial town. All the major brands and shop names are found here as well as several excellent smaller and more intimate stores. Chichester has now merged as a gastronomic centre, home to all manner of excellent eating places. Best of all, everything is concentrated around those 4 Roman Streets and thus within easy walking distance.
Outside Chichester are many wonderful pubs and restaurants, all serving excellent food. Given the standard of cuisine, it's just as well that there is so much opportunity for walking!

"Excellent, comfortable home from home in great location"
Very smart and comfortable flat close to shopping and restaurants in Chichester. Very friendly and helpful owner who met us at the flat and settled us in. Thoughtful touches throughout the flat including a bottle of fizz for my husband's birthday. Everything provided that you might need, including beach towels. Highly recommended, if we return to the area again we would book again.
So glad you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed the apartment and thank you for taking the time to write a great review. Thanks also for treating the apartment so well - we will be delighted to welcome you back any time! Also glad you enjoyed the bubbly! - Barbara and Robin
