The South East England region
This area enjoys some of the best levels of sunshine in Southern England. It also boasts numerous historical places of interest, such as the Roman Palace at Fishbourne, & the Weald & Downland Open Air Musueum. Goodwood House and Stansted Park are also fascinating places to visit.
For travellers who like to go a bit further afield, heading west to Portsmouth you can explore the famous Spinnaker tower, the old 'Spice Island' dockyards and from there make your way to the Isle of White with a ticket to Ryde, by ferry, catamaran or hovercraft! Travelling further west, if you enjoy the histoy Chichester has to offer you can catch a train to the cathedral city of Salisbury where you will find easy links to tours of Stonehenge.
Alexandra Road is located just to the east of Chichester city centre and is within a short walk all the shops, restaurants, bars and amenities the city centre has to offer. The history of Chichester dates back to beyond Roman times, but it is perhaps now most famous for its imposing cathedral, which itself is over 1,000 years old. The renowned Chichester Festival Theatre is also just a short walk away, which offers a great selection of shows throughout the year.
Other local attraction include the Goodwood Estate, known around the world for both its horse racing and the Glorious Goodwood week, as well as its motor racing events that include the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. One of the best beached on the south coast is located at West Wittering, to the south of Chichester. With the excellent road and rail links, it is also easy to visit the cities of Portsmouth, famous as being home to the Royal Navy, and Brighton, which has a wonderful array of shops and bars. London is also less than 2 hours away, with direct trains from Chichester to London Victoria.

"excellent stay at 12 alexandra road"
We stayed here during the 2nd week in october and had a super time. The position of the house was so convenient for the city centre and resturaunts. We spent quite sometime walking in the park just across the road, and many walks along the old walls. The kitchen //diner was lovely and big and very homely. There was however one slight drawback with regards the Tv. I am not sure that there was a digital aeriel anywhere so we could only watch normal TV. Apart from that we had a smashing time at No 12.
Thank you for your review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay at 12 Alexandra Road. It is a shame you did have a little trouble with the TV reception during your stay but it sounds as though this didn't have any great bearing on your enjoyment of the house.
If we can be of any assistance to you in the future, please do just let us know and we will be happy to help.
