Honeysuckle Lodge is a very nicely furnished self-catering cottage with character, set where the countryside meets the seaside. Located close to the Wittering in West Sussex, the cottage benefits from a peaceful rural setting, is within walking distance of the sea and is within a short drive of the facilities and amenities of the cathedral city of Chichester. Next door to the owners house, a period country house, the cottage was originally an old dairy building to the main house.

The cottage has cosy and comfortable living room with the dining area looking out over the open fields opposite Honeysuckle Lodge. The attractive kitchen is very well equipped and includes a cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a washing machine available in a small utility room off the entrance porch. There are 2 good sized bedrooms. The first is a bright room, overlooking the open fields. It has twin beds that can be made into a double bed, if required, and plenty of storage space. The second bedroom is set up as a double bedroom, but can also be flexible in use, as the bed can be split into 2 single beds, if required. This bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom that includes a shower over the bath. There is a family shower room, so the cottage is ideal for couples to share or for a family holiday.

To the front of the cottage is a patio garden with a table and chairs for guests to use. The patio overlooks the open farmland beyond and is ideal for an evening drink in the summer sunshine or a spot of 'al fresco' dining. There is parking available in the courtyard behind the cottage. Honeysuckle Lodge is set amongst farmland and it is next door to farm buildings, used for the storage of farm machinery.

This area has perhaps the best weather in the UK in terms of sunshine levels and is steeped in history. there are several ancient towns nearby, including Arundel, with its beautiful castle, Chichester with its lovely cathedral, and Portsmouth where the famous ship The Victory cane be visited.

Chichester

Honeysuckle Cottage is in the rural hamlet of Ham, West Sussex. It is within a few miles of the popular beach resort of West Wittering, with great local shopping facilities at East Wittering. There are some great walks in the local area, both along the seafront and in the countryside. A short drive to the north is the historic cathedral city of Chichester, with its origins dating back to Roman times. There is a really good selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants inthe city, all set within the ancient city walls.

The Goodwood Estate is a few miles to the north of Chichester and is now as famous for its annual motor racing events, the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival, as it is for its horse racing and Glorious Goodwood.

A little further along the coast to the west is the city of Portsmouth, home to the British Navy and boasting such attractions as the Mary Rose and HMS Victory. Along the coast to the east is the cosmopolitan city of Brighton, with a wealth of independent shops and lively night life.
