The South East England / Sussex region

Including seaside resorts of Brighton, Hastings and Eastbourne as well as historic towns like Rye and Arundel, Sussex has much to offer visitors. West Sussex offers excellent walking, yachting and is home to 'Glorious Goodwood'. East Sussex is home to the rolling South Downs and the ‘long man’ a 69-foot chalk drawing on a hillside. Sussex is within easy reach of London, making it ideal for a change from your city break.



Chichester / Bosham area

Bosham is situated 3 ½ miles from the City of Chichester with its Cathedral, Festival Theatre and many shops and restaurants. It is well situated for visiting many local attractions :-

• Goodwood Racecourse and Motor Racing Circuit, with the Festival of Speed and Revival Meetings
• Fishbourne Roman Palace and Museum
• Portsmouth with its Historic Naval Dockyard, Gunwharf Shopping and Spinnaker Tower
• The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum
• West Dean House and Gardens
• Kingly Vale and Pagham Harbour Nature Reserves
• Many beaches, including East Head and West Wittering’s long sandy beach
• Many Historical Houses including Arundel Castle, Goodwood House, Uppark, and Petworth House

There are opportunities for sailing, harbour tours, golf, bird watching and wonderful walks.

Havant Station is 15 minutes drive away for trains to London which take 75 minutes to Waterloo. There are regular trains to Brighton with all its attractions, 40 minutes away. Day trips by ferry to the Isle of Wight or Cherbourg in France can be taken from Portsmouth – 30 minutes drive away.

The village of Bosham has several pubs, the nearest, the Anchor Bleu overlooking the water, is a step away and serves good food and real ales. Excellent meals can also be enjoyed at the Millstream Hotel, a short walk away.


How to get there

On the South Coast of England, close to the airports of London ( Gatwick and Heathrow), Southampton and Bournemouth. The port of Portsmouth ( ferries to France and Spain) is a 20 minute drive.

Conditions

• Telephone bookings to Mrs Mary Lacey on 01243 573549 are accepted up to 9.00 p.m., but your confirmation and deposit must be received within 5 working days to secure your holiday.
• The deposit of 25% is only refundable if the required accommodation is not made available.
• The balance of the tariff must be paid within 8 weeks (60 days) of the date of arrival, by cheque payable to “St Martins Bosham”, or direct into the bank account (details available upon request). If a booking is made 8 weeks or less before the date of arrival, full payment is required.
• In the event of the balance not being paid by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and re-let the property. If re-letting cannot be arranged, you will be liable for the balance. Cancellations are accepted up to 8 weeks prior to the holiday date.
• It is recommended that visitors take out their own holiday cancellation insurance.
• All bookings are from 3.00 p.m. on the date of arrival until 10.00 a.m. on the date of departure.
• The property is a no smoking area
• We prefer not to allow children under 6 years of age
• We regret no pets are allowed.
• All guests are expected to leave the property clean and tidy when vacating. Keys will be given to you on arrival, and collected on departure.
• You must report and pay for any damage, loss or breakages in the property during your stay.
• Only guests named on the booking form are permitted to stay.
• Occasionally access may be required at reasonable times by the proprietors for viewing.
• The proprietors reserve the right to decline accommodation and to demand the immediate departure of any persons not complying with these conditions, or for any conduct detrimental either to the property, or to the comfort of neighbours.
• Payment of the deposit is taken as accepting these conditions.
