On clear days, the views stretch for miles along the coast. This truly is a location that is hard to beat.

Set just behind the main house, the cottage has a its own private entrance leading into a very comfortable sitting room. Cosy in the winter and cool in the summer, the living room also has a small dining area at one end, as well as offering a flat screen TV with digital satellite. The smart kitchen is well equipped and includes an electric oven with gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. WiFi internet access is available in the cottage.

The bedroom has a king-size double bed, which can be split to be used as twin single beds. There is also storage and hanging space in the bedroom. The South East England region

Horse racing and motor sport, including the internationally famous Festival of Speed and Revival Meeting, at Goodwood are within a five minute drive of the cottage.

There is an ancient Saxon church in the village, and the nearby city of Chichester is famous not only for its cathedral, but also its Roman connections. There is a fascinating museum at the village of Fishbourne (Roman Palace), and the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum is only about 4 miles away. This provides a great day out for all the family, with historical buildings and picturesque surrounds. There are excellent sailing facilities at nearby villages, Bosham and Itchenor, and numerous sporting facilities such as golf courses and tennis courts in the vicinity.

Yew Cottage is set just behind ‘The Rubbing House’, which itself is perched on the edge of the South Downs in West Sussex. It is right next to “The Trundle”, a local landmark that offers panoramic views for miles around. This is an ideal location for walking enthusiasts as from here there is a great choice of walking routes along the Downs.

There are some fantastic attractions right on the doorstep, with Goodwood race course and motor racing circuit just minutes away. Just down the road is the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, which offers a wonderful glimpse at the history of architecture, farming and rural life in the area. The historic cathedral city of Chichester is just a few miles to the south and offers a great selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes.

A little further afield, the cities of Portsmouth and Brighton are easily accessible by either road or rail from Chichester. Portsmouth, home to the Royal Navy since 1194, has attractions including the Mary Rose, HMS Warrior and HMS Victory, as well as shopping at Gunwharf Quays with its iconic Spinnaker Tower. Brighton is famous for its shopping, offering an eclectic range of independent shops along the narrow pathways of The Lanes.
