A great house with lots of space for a large family, we went with our four children their partners and six grandchildren ages ranged from 3 weeks to 54 years in the grouph and the house suited us all. Fab dining room for all of us to share a meal, haveing two dishwashers meant no need to wash up. All the liveing space is excellant some openplan some quite areas too. The bedrooms were luxury and very comfortable. Outside the gardens are lovely and the hottub was fab great fun for all at the end of the day. Owners are great and very helpful an at hand if you need them. Quite location but not far to go for main town and attractions. There are takeaways that deliver from chichester and a brilliant pub in the village that serves outstanding food at a very reasonable price and the service for all 17 of us was brilliant we will differently be going there again when in the area. ( I am a chef) If there could be a few small improvements to the house it would be Blackout blinds in the bedrooms woken early by light. Mirrors and lighteing near plug sockets in the bedrooms for drying hair and doing makeup. Would be good if hairdryers were supplied. Towels for hot tub( coloured so there was no confusion with the lovely bedroom towels. Either carpet runners or non slip paint on the wooden stairs very slippery special for young children. Garden differently needs to be secured if allowing dogs as so many areas have fencing missing and at the side the young children could venture out and people in so not very safe. Lastly could be made easier for wheelchair access if one of the downstairs bedrooms had the bathroom made into a wetroom with no cubical . |

I organised a weekend away for 16 adults and 4 children (aged between 7 months and 5 years old). We had a brilliant time, the house was spotless and we could just walk in and start our break. There are plenty of amenities in the house ranging from two dishwashers, TVs and ovens to a hot tub, childrens' area and music system. One thing that really impressed me was that each bedroom had its own en-suite so you could keep yourself private from the rest of the group. The grounds were lovely and a nice touch is that tennis rackets and balls were provided for the tennis court. There was plenty of room for everybody without feeling you are in each other's pockets. The house was easy to find and close to the main town of Chichester, so very convenient if you want to get out and about. The owner was very friendly and met with us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to see but it was nice that he left us to our own devices to explore once he has shown us the heating system etc. Also he was nearby so should we encounter any problems, he was close to hand, but left us to it. Once we left, the deposit was reimbursed within a matter of days, so very efficient. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody, but preferably larger groups/families. There is talk amongst the group of a re-book this year. |
