The South East England region
A super location just south of the South Downs, surrounded by beautiful countryside. This area is blessed with some of the best weather in the U.K. as well as many of the country's top attractions, which is why it is one of the most sought after areas to live in and visit. It is also relatively easy to travel to other places such as London and the coast is only a short drive away.
The cottages at Rookmore Farm are located close the village of West Ashling in the West Sussex countryside. Although this is a lovely peaceful location, it is still very convenient for access to the historic cities of Chichester and Portsmouth, as well as the South Downs National Park. Chichester is a short drive away and offers a wealth of shopping and leisure facilities, as well as a wide choice of cafes and restaurants. The medieval cathedral dominates the skyline and can be seen from miles around.
The city of Portsmouth is to the west and is home to the historic dockyards of the Royal Navy, with attractions such as the Marie Rose and HMS Warrior, as well as the modern Spinnaker Tower at Gunwharf Quays.
There are many beautiful walks in the local countryside, including part of the South Downs Way. Along the coast you will also find some great beaches, including on of the best in the south of England at West Wittering. Another big attraction to the area is the horse and motor racing event at nearby Goodwood, which include the world famous Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival.
