‘The Sidings’ is a beautifully presented contemporary residence located in a quiet lane just off West Wittering village centre close to open countryside and just 3/4 mile from Chichester Harbour, the National Trust owned East Head and the famous beach at West Wittering.

Recently remodelled and updated, the interior offers a light, spacious layout with a modern, part open plan layout. There is a lovely Master Bedroom Suite, the Living Room faces south with full width opening doors onto the enclosed garden and the kitchen and bathrooms are tastefully designed.

Approximately 65 miles south west of London, 'West Manhood' covers a small area starting some 3 miles south of the Cathedral City of Chichester and stretches a further 4 miles to the coast where the beaches look across The Solent to the Isle of Wight.

The villages of East Wittering, West Wittering and Bracklesham Bay are situated here and this is where you will find a wide choice of self-catered accommodation offered by the holiday letting department of 'Baileys Estate Agents', (0044 1243 672217).

A mainline station located at Chichester provides a regular service to London Victoria in about 1 hour 45 minutes and to Gatwick in about 1 hour 5 minutes. An alternative, slightly faster rail service to London is also available from Havant in about 1 hour 20 minutes to London Waterloo.

The Chichester / West Wittering area

Local shops are within 0.5 mile while the excellent shops and facilities in East Wittering which include a health centre, chemists, banks etc are only 1.5 miles away. Chichester Harbour which is designated an area of outstanding beauty and the superb beach at West Wittering is within only 3/4 mile.

The Cathedral city of Chichester is one of the most well-preserved Georgian cities in the UK, with its centre sitting within the famous old Roman walls. The four main pedestrianised streets, North, South, East and West converge on the central Market Cross and offer a comprehensive range of shops, bars and restaurants. The

The arts are well catered for as Chichester is home to the world renowned Festival Theatre and smaller Minerva Theatre and also the Pallant House Art Gallery which is now enjoying a well deserved international reputation for its contemporary art. Annually the city plays host to a number of celebrated music and arts festivals centred around the Cathedral.

The waters of the Solent and Chichester Harbour are particularly popular with sailors. The harbour is made up of a series of tidal creeks and is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty with wonderful walks while Chichester Marina, Birdham Pool and Itchenor Sailing Club provide the nearest sailing facilities. The 'National Trust' reserve (1.5 miles) at East Head in West Wittering has perhaps the most picturesque 'blue flag' beach in West Sussex and the award winning coastline of the Witterings and Bracklesham Bay in general provides many opportunities for swimming, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and landboarding.

Other recreational activities are well catered for, there is a multiplex cinema in Chichester and several Golf courses are in close proximity. Apart from its' internationally known racecourse which offers the 'Glorious Goodwood' meeting in the summer, Goodwood also provides many other facilities including golf, country club and airfield and plays host to the world famous annual 'Festival of Speed' and the motor 'Revival' meeting in September at the historic motor racing circuit.

There are exceptional walking, horse riding and mountain biking opportunities to be enjoyed in the South Downs countryside which now enjoys the status of a national park.

West Wittering is situated on the coast 6 miles south of the Cathedral City of Chichester. Chichester has a main line railway station which provides a regular service to London Victoria in about 1 hour 45 minutes and to Gatwick in about 1 hour 5 minutes.

An alternative, slightly faster rail service to London is also available from Havant in about 1 hour 20 minutes to London Waterloo. Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton are all easily reached along the coast. The area is well served from Chichester with the A27 (M27) coastal route and A3 to London.
