For travellers who like to go a bit further afield, heading west to Portsmouth you can explore the famous Spinnaker tower, the old 'Spice Island' dockyards and from there make your way to the Isle of White with a ticket to Ryde, by ferry, catamaran or hovercraft! Travelling further west, if you enjoy the histoy Chichester has to offer you can catch a train to the cathedral city of Salisbury where you will find easy links to tours of Stonehenge.
It is possible to spend a relaxing and interesting stay at 1 Mayfair Court without using a car, as Chichester has so much to offer. From a wide variety of restaurants to museums, the historic cathedral and an interesting array of shops, there is something different to do every day. The city has strong historical Roman connections, as evidenced at the Roman Palace in Fishbourne nearby. The centre of the city is enclosed by the ancient city walls and there are some beautiful parks to walk through. Oaklands Park and Priory Park are both only a short walk away, with Priory Park playing host to cricket matches in the summer months.
If you feel like venturing out of the city, just to the north is the South Downs National Park, providing beautiful landscapes to walk and cycle through. Goodwood is also just to the north and is the venue for two of the most famous sporting events in the U.K. - the Goodwood Revival and the Goodwood Festival of Speed, attracting visitors from all over the world. Goodwood House is a beautiful and historic country house, set in lovely park like grounds which also incorporate one of the estate's golf courses. The south coast is only a few miles away and has some of the best beaches in the area, including the sandy beach at West Wittering, popular with wind surfers and swimmers alike. The sailing villages of Itchenor and Bosham are also within a few miles' drive. Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth to the west and the eclectic town of Brighton to the east are both accessible by train or car. There is also a mainline station in Chichester, with direct trains to London.

Perfect distance for walking into main town centre. Very pretty area. Close to many other interesting places. Convenient shop at the end of road, selling mostly everything.
