About the home

The Barn is a delightful converted barn nestling in a super location in the village of Birdham. The property has been refurbished to a high standard and it now offers very light and family friendly accommodation. It is set in the grounds of Navarre Lodge, an imposing modern country house and The Barn overlooks a large paddock. It combines character with modern comforts and it has a well equipped kitchen, with all the usual fittings required. The property has a private balcony which benefits from the superb paddock view and there is also a small private garden area to be enjoyed. Most of the accommodation is on the first floor and the kitchen, dining area and sitting room area are open plan with beams to the ceiling, typical of barns of this nature. The bedrooms all feed off the main dining area and there is fresh linen provided along with towels. It is the perfect destination for a relaxing break, whether it is in winter or spring/summer.

Conditions

The reservation fee must be paid to confirm the booking, and this is 30% of the rent due. The balance is required 60 days before the start date of the holiday along with the booking fee of £35.00. If the booking is made less than 60 days before the start date, the full balance will be required. A refundable security deposit of £150.00 is required.

Payment can be made by debit card or credit card, but please note that there is a surcharge of 3% for credit card payments.

The South East England / Sussex region

This area enjoys some of the best levels of sunshine in Southern England. It also boasts numerous historical places of interest, such as the Roman Palace at Fishhbourne & the Weald & Downland Open Air Musueum. Goodwood House and Stansted Park are also fascinating places to visit, as is Arundel Castle. Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth has some of the best panoramic views in the south.

The Chichester / Birdham area

Tucked away at the foot of the gardens of Navarre Lodge this property will appeal to most types of holiday makers. There are a huge amount of activities to do in the immediate vicinity. Birdham has a vibrant sailing community and Chichester Marina is within walking distance. In addition, the nearby sailing village of Itchenor can be accessed via a beautiful walk and the area is perfect for cyclists. One of the best sandy beaches in the south of England is only a 10 minute away in West Wittering, which is also a haven for windsurfers and sun bathers. An evening barbecue on the beach at West Wittering is a very popular event. Birdham itself is a very pretty village with a variety of properties and it is well served by a good village shop. Just to the north of the village is the famous cathedral city of Chichester. Dominated by the cathedral, the centre's character and heritage has been preserved extremely well and it has a wide range of interesting shops and places to visit. The internationally renowned Festival Theatre attracts actors and visitors from all over the world and Goodwood has both horse racing and its famous motor sports events. The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum provides a super day out for families, with a variety of interesting things and events/shows. With so much to do, it is no surprise that this is such a popular holiday destination, but equally people often visit for a quiet, relaxing break.
