All the rooms are thoughtfully furbished and kitted out for self catering but anything you cannot find we will try and provide (within reason!) to make your stay more enjoyable. Please note that the property is on 3 floors and whilst there are not many steps the staircase is quite steep. There is a hand rail provided. Pets and children are welcome. Very small south facing courtyard with bistro tables and 2 chairs
Pets welcome by prior arrangement (cat flap in back door). Children welcome and travel cot, high chair etc can be hired. All rooms have radiators with gas boiler in kitchen cupboard. Wood burning stove with wood provided. TV has free-view & DVD.
A small welcome basket is provided and wherever possibelthe owner Debbie will try and meet you. Otherwise a key safe offers you flexible entry to the property.

The home of Lord & Lady March is open to the public (check times) and is a delightful 20 minute walk from Oak Lodge. Goodwood is also renowned for its horse racing with many meetings throughout the year, the famous Festival of Speed, The Revival and beautiful Sculpture Park.

West Wittering Beach
Noted as one of the 10 best beach locations in the Country with something for everyone. Peaceful & secluded sand dunes on East Head or surf & waves further along the beautiful stretch of sandy beach. 15 minutes drive away (longer in high season at peak times)
This must be one of England's most beautiful cathedrals, situated in the heart of a historic and charming City. Chichester can boast some of the best shops, cafes and restaurants to be found in the South.
The theatre continues to attract many famous actors and playwrights and the summer festivities must surely be unrivalled.
Oak Lodge and North Walls cottage have been the temporary home to several actors and directors over the last year.
A 10 minute car journey or train ride takes you to the charming town of Arundel, situated on the river Arun. Wonderful eating palces, art galleries and specialists shops are in abundance. This a is a great day out for all ages.
Situated within the historic City Walls, North Walls is a quiet one-way street just a minute's walk from shops, restaurants, pubs and banks. It is ideally located for the Theatre, Priory Park and Oaklands Park with easy and close access to Chichester Harbour, West Wittering beach, Goodwood, South Downs and main line rail to London, Portsmouth & Brighton.
A small bakery (Orchard Tea rooms) is just round the corner, also selling milk & small selection of other provisions.

"Home away from home for our girls' break to Chichester."
North Walls is a lovey cottage just within the city walls and, despite being very old, it was not at all cold, dark or cramped. The 5 of us, aged between 17 and 45 , stayed here for our girls' break in Chichester and we loved it, so much better than staying in an impersonal hotel. There are many great original features and exposed beams, the ceilings are high for a house of its age but the stairs, though few and enclosed, are a bit steep and uneven - something to be aware of if climbing stairs is a problem for you. The house is ideally located with a long stay car park 5mins walk away (only £4 for 24hrs) and we left our car there all weekend with no problems. Debbie is the loveliest owner and cannot do enough to ensure that everything is provided for a comfortable and pleasant stay - welcome hamper, tea bags, board games, dvds, spare towels, cleaning products, bin bags, all the little things that make a place feel like your home instead of temporary accomodation. Highly recommended.

"Ideal location for those who want to be in the very centre of this Georgian cathedral town."
A warm but unfussy welcome from the owner helped us settle in quickly. The accommodation is snug and comfortable, although the very steep stairs would not suit those who have mobility problems. The woodburner stove makes this an especially cosy place to stay in the winter months. The central location, in a small and quiet side street with a view of the Roman walls, is perfect for a visit to this charming, walled Georgian town. We have stayed here on three occasions and have found that it suited us perfectly.

Beautiful old cottage with traditional features. Quiet and relaxing but within city walls and very convenient for shops & restaurants. Very wam and welcoming with everything needed for stay included. Would definitely stay again.
