Home description

100 square meters apartment that suites for up to 4 people. Located on the first floor of our Castle, it is our most charming unit. It offers a modern, semi-professional gas kitchen, complete with 5 rings, large oven, 2 sinks, fridge with freezer, dishwasher. The large dining/living room has decorated wooden roof, dining table with chairs, sofa and armchairs with TV/DVD area. It has a spectacular Master Room, very large, with wooden roofs and red tinted walls; the second bedroom offers 2 single beds. All bedrooms have nets on their windows. The bathroom has shower, sink, wc and bidet and offers 2 entrances: one from the master bedroom, the other opens to an antechamber with an additional sink and mirror.

Both the Master room AND the kitchen have a door-window which opens on a huge private terrace (125 square meters!) that will be all for you (exclusive), with chairs, table, sun beds, etc. to be able to have breakfast/dinner/lunch or just enjoy some sunbath over there. The view from there is gorgeous. The apartment is equipped with all necessary fittings for leaving and cooking and delivered in a clean and tidy condition. Bed and bath linen are supplied (no pool towels). Consumables are self-catering.

The Tuscany region

Chianti / Barberino Val d'Elsa area

Castello di Pastine is situated in an excellent position a little over 30 km from Florence and Siena, both of which can be reached within half an hour. About 11 km away is the fascinating town of Certaldo, a medieval fortress and the native city of Boccaccio— one of the fathers of Italian literature and the author of the Decameron. San Gimignano, the well-preserved medieval city of towers is just 15 km away, while Volterra, a historic Etruscan city, can be reached driving along 43 km of the most beautiful roads in Tuscany, part of the Volterrana: the legendary road for people who love to drive through the countryside, by car or by bike! Then, if you want to taste or buy some excellent wine, you don’t have to go very far to visit the wine cellars where the most famous red wine in the world is made, Chianti Classico.

Throughout the year the Tuscan towns and cities are animated by fairs, festivals, theme-celebrations and historic re-enactments from the middle ages with street markets, suppers, tastings and fireworks.

The property is situated inside a spectacular park which, with its romantic paths and breathtaking perspectives, provides the opportunity for pleasant walks immersed in nature.
The 162 square meters swimming pool has areas reserved for each apartment and fully equipped with deck chairs, sun beds and beach umbrellas(*).
The tennis/five-a-side football ground is in synthetic grass; close by there is also a ping-pong table and a
small skating rink for children. Next by the tennis court yard, there is a playground for kids, with a sling and
a slide, as well as a new volleyball net.
Trekking trails in the woods of the park are reserved exclusively for the use of guests while not far from the
property there are excellent restaurants where you can enjoy dishes that have made Tuscan cooking famous
throughout the world.
Just a few minutes away by car are supermarkets, shops and sports activities (golf, horse riding, bike hire
etc...) which our staff will be pleased to help you choose from. We’re looking forward to welcoming you.

All the apartments are fully equipped for your sleeping and cooking requirements. On arrival the Clients will
find their units in a clean and tidy condition; they are supposed to leave them in the same way on departure.
Sheets and towels are supplied with the weekly change of linens every Saturday (not including towels for the
swimming pool), any other requests will be at the expense of the guests.

The apartments are usually rented on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday. Arrivals are from 5.00 p.m. to
8.00 p.m. and departures by 10.00 a.m. In low and mid-season – upon request and depending on availability –
bookings may also be accepted for periods other than a week.
