Home description

The barn is divided in two apartments, one for 2/4 persons, the oher for 2/3 persons. The house has a dominant, tranquil position and enjoys magnificent views of Florence and the hills of Chianti. There is a large garden and olive grove in front of the house and a panoramic terrace which is ideal for outdoor eating. There is also ample covered parking space.It is situated 1 km from the village (which has all amenities), 15 km from Florence (with a bus stop nearby) and 45 km from Siena.

Tuscany is one of the most interested region with all his cultural and historical towns like Siena,Pisa,
Volterra,Lucca and the beautiful city Florence. You will not finish do be surprised everyday again .

Chianti / San Casciano Val di Pesa area

San Casciano is a typical local town of the Chiantishire one of the centre of the most important wine 'Chianti'.
It has 15.000 abitants and you can find alot of good restaurants and trattorie to taste the good tuscany
kitchen.
All over the year the little town offer different attractions to stimulate the journey of the turists.
It is very close to Florence(15 km), to Siena (45km) and at the same time you are in the countrside to
explore the beautiful colours of the chianti landshape

How to get there

.Local buses run regularly between Florence/city and San Casciano (every hour).
Next bus station by feet 10 minutes

The apartment is composed in a big saloon with a gallery where you can find a single bed too for a third
person.( Extra for the service for a week for the third person is 80,00 Euro)
In the kitchencorner you have all comodity to cook for your own, also the barbecue outsight near
the pool give you the oppurtunity to pass in relax warm summernights

Further details outdoors:
The house is located about 1km from the little village San Casciano V.d. P. and you can reach by foot in an
half an hour. Also there will be many other beautiful ways in the countryside to escape the real
chiantishire
With the public bus you will be in 35 minutes in the centre of Florence, the bus station is close only
10 minutes by foot.

Further details

The new swimming-pool avaiable from the end of May until September is shared with the owner-family.
Also you have a barbecue and outside loggia next to the pool where you can pass the warm summer night
in great relax.
In the autunne there are beautiful opportunities to walk around and to discover small villages and the
wonderful landscape of the Chiantishire with the grapes and olivetrees.Also the great passion of the owner Elisabeth for Art (graduated in history of art) can be divided.
You can have your own lessons in xilografy, pastell.and icon-painting Elisabeth would like to introduce you in the world of the colours and their stories and you can produce you own watercolours /pastells and afterwards
make you own painting with your self-made colours like once a time before.
Also cooking-lessons for a little group can be organiced to esplore the real tuscany kitchen.
Like handmade pasta -- lesson.
Florence and also the Chiantishire with small but very interested musens offer a large
sight of Italian Icons from XI or XII century
Elisabeth the owner, would be pleased to introduce you in this world to guide you in this special view.
Her studio where she works is opened for everybody who shows interest

Conditions

We have only two apartments, so sometimes we are able to organize the arriving and leaving of our guests with special date not only of the end of the week.
You booking will be confirmed when you have mad a bank transfer of 30% of the total amount the rest can be
payed when you arrive at your holiday-place.
