The Hamlet is situated on a hillside with stunning views across the vineyards and olive groves of the world famous Chianti Classico, home of Tuscany's most prestigious wine. Hamlet Montefiorile is a collection of 14 rental villas in a quiet position, offering maximum appreciation of the magnificent surrounding countryside.
This traditionally built Tuscan villa has the typical terracotta and oak beamed ceilings and tiled floors throughout giving a bright, open aspect. With open plan living space, a large double bedroom and two private terraces, this is the perfect getaway for a relaxing, romantic break.

The Tuscany region
Set in the heart of the Chianti wine producing region, the Hamlet of Montefiorile is surrounded by rolling Tuscan countryside with its olive groves and vineyards, yet within walking distance of the small village of San Sano. The local vineyard of Castello di Ama which the hamlet overlooks has weekly tours of its vineyards with wine tasting.
Chianti / Radda area
Ideally located for visiting the large cities of Florence, Siena and San Gimignano as well as discovering the smaller Chianti towns and villages. Worth seeing is the famous Palio of Siena which takes place in July and September with many of the locals dressing in medieval costume. The Autumn means its harvest time which is usually a good excuse to have a festival. October/November is when the truffles start to arrive - the area around Montefiorile produces the white truffle - considered by those who know to be the finest of the funghi. This is then followed by various Christmas markets with the opportunity to pick up some unique gifts.

Both Ryanair and Easyjet have reasonably priced flights. Florence is an hours drive Pisa and Bologna 2 hours drive and Rome is 3 hours drive

Further details indoors: The open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area are well equipped and comfortably furnished to a high standard. The spacious bedroom has a handmade wrought iron double bed, (an extra bed can be added on request) and for extra comfort the property also has Air Conditioning.
Double doors lead from the spacious living area out onto a private terrace with dining table and chairs, and steps leading down to a raised garden area. This is furnished with sunloungers, table and umbrella and has spectacular views over the Sangiovese vineyard of Castello di Ama below.
Further details outdoors: The swimming pool sits on a high point behind the hamlet and is surrounded by terraced lawns which enjoy the sun all day. There are also olives trees and oak woodland areas for those who prefer a shady spot, or to retreat under during the heat of the day. The Swimming Pool measures 13 x 5 meters and is open from April to October.
Residents often meet in the large paved piazza in the centre of the hamlet, surrounded by hundred year old olive trees and mediterranean plants and herbs; it is a perfect place to watch the sun go down or gaze at the night sky.!!!

Thank you for our stay in Tuscany. The villa was very beautiful. Too bad the weather was a little cooler than expected. Had you been in charge of the weather, it would have been beautiful.
