Home description

Set in the heart of Chianti Classico, this apartment is in a small rural settlement made up of 2 farmhouses, 3 apartments, and a beautiful villa. When the owner, 20 years ago, bought this property there were only ruins. The buildings were completely restored and modernised to a very high standard in 1997 with absolute respect of the Tuscan elegant atmosphere. It was careful to provide the apartments (all with their own private terrace or garden) with all of comforts, particular attention was given to interior design and furnishings.
In a dominating position, Hamlet of I Gigli is also an estate producing wine and olive oil extending to the surrounded vineyards, olive groves and suggestive woods of oak, cypresses and pine trees.
The swimming pool (6x12; depth:1,70) with stunning views across the valley and the surrounding hills, the well kept garden, with its comfortable deck chairs, offers to the guests an oasis of calm. At complete disposal of the guests are also a private parking area, a wash machine space, a ping pong table, a small soccer field and a wood with a stream for relaxing walking in the nature.

The Tuscany region

Tiny hilltop towns, sun-drenched hillsides, a rolling countryside and enchanting little hamlets hidden along ancient streets and pathways, Tuscany is an adventure into the past of castles, fortresses, walled towns, ancient olive groves and vineyards and traditions that are honoured from generation to generation.

Fashion, cars, design, good food and wine, amazing art, mild weather and beautiful landscapes. When one travels the world it is easy to see the influence Italian lifestyle has on modern cities. Breakfast with a cappuccino or (to the horror of many Italians-cappuccino after dinner!), scooters, pasta or a tomato and mozzarella panino for lunch; wood-fired pizzas and even olive oil tasting events. All of these are attempts to recreate a part of Italian life in a different context - a more than ample indication of how appealing this lifestyle is to a diverse range of people.
