A fascinating, impressive and varied landscape, rich in contrasts: distinctive vineyards and olive groves - the landmark of the Chianti area. Set in this landscape lies the wine estate L’Ottavo. Rural stone buildings, preserved in the original style of Tuscany, have been converted to individual, self-contained apartments, adapted to suit the modern, discerning tourist, but without losing the original look and character of the buildings.

It is a small beautiful apartment with a very nice view. 1st floor: via a big loggia/terrace (shared with an other apmt.) you reach the apartment. It has a small komplete kitchen including a dining area, a few steps lead to a double bed-room and bathroom with shower. Oven, Sat-TV, safe. Apartment 2 sleeps (24mq)

Chianti / Greve area

The estate L’Ottavo is situated in Lucolena, part of the municipality of Greve in Chianti, at an altitude of 400m. Ideal for those who want to experience nature, crave for tranquillity, for those who want to spend the day between a dip in the pool, a sunbath on the lawn or terrace, a walk in the surrounding forests, or a casual stroll through one of the many antique villages - to discover the many traces of the history and art of Tuscany.

Lucolena lies between the town of Greve in Chianti and Figline Valdarno (which has a regular train service to Florence of approx. 30 minutes duration). Greve in Chianti is the market town of the Chianti Classico wine zone of Tuscany which consists of a large part of the hilly territory between Florence and Siena. Greve is a typical tuscan village with many festivals and markets during all the year.

How to get there

• By plane: airport in Florence, Pisa or Rome.

• By car
Coming from the north (Bologna - Florence) and also from Rome:
From the motorway A1 take the exit "INCISA", turn left towards FIGLINE (full name Figline Valdarno) (S. S. 69), which is app. 5 km after the exit. Shortly after the beginning of Figline, just after the Hotel Torricelli (on your right), is a turn-off to the right towards GREVE and SIENA. Take this turn-off and follow this road for approximately 10 km. Shortly after the village "Ponti agli Stolli" (about 2km) comes a turn-off to the left, indicating "LUCOLENA". Take this turn-off and follow that road for app. 3km. When seeing the village in the distance watch for a sign on your left called "Fattoria L’Ottavo". There is a small road on the left-hand side leading down to the Fattoria, that is well signposted.

• Possible expenses for heating will be charged separately (heating max. Euro 10/day).

• In order to confirm a booking, a deposit of 25% of the total apartment price will have to be paid. This amount can either be deposited into our bank account or be paid through 'PAYPAL' or paid by credit card (all except American Express).
