The garden is a private and well maintained English cottage garden with a sitting and eating area with great views over open countryside.
We do allow short breaks of a minimum of two nights but do ask that parties are no larger than three people and that includes children.
The Heart of England / Peak District / Peak District/Derbyshire region
The village is on the fringe of the Peak District but still has easy access. It is in the heart of England a short drive from the Chatsworth estate and the attractions of Bakewell and Matlock.
Probably an hours drive from Alton Towers there are lots of places to go and things to do but is a rural setting and walking and sightseeing are the main attractions.
The Chesterfield / Ashover area
The village is a picturesque stone Derbyshire village with three pubs and some useful and interesting small all a short walk from the cottage.
There are many nice walks that you can start and finish at the cottage and pull in some great country pubs, the Old Poets corner has its own brewery and sells a wide range of great beers and ciders including locally produced ones.

Ashover is a small stone village set in countryside but only 25 minutes from junction 28 of the M! and 40 minutes from East Midlands airport by car.
Situated in the beautiful Amber Valley it is four miles from Matlock and a short drive from the Chatsworth estate and the attractions of the Peak District.
Easy access by car with limited public transport, its a reasonable taxi fare from both Matlock railway station and Chesterfield.
