Stockman's Cottage is a charming period property located on a quiet lane, offering good facilities and privacy. This one bedroom property is ideal for couples or a small family looking for somewhere quiet and idyllic when staying in the Chesterfield area of Derbyshire. Stockman's Cottage is a characterful property which is welcoming and cosy and also provides great views of the surrounding countryside. On the ground floor is a fitted kitchen complete with mod cons including a washing machine and a microwave. Downstairs there is also a lounge/diner complete with a dining table, a wood burning stove and TV/DVD/CD players. On the first floor there is a double bedroom as well as a generously sized bathroom. The property has a very private, enclosed garden to the rear, complete with garden furniture.

The Heart of England / Peak District / Peak District/Derbyshire region

The Peak District and Derbyshire is a contrast of high rolling moorland, craggy outcrops and picture post card vales and valleys with 'chocolate box' villages.
The whole area is dominated by Britain's first national park; The Peak District National Park which has been catering for visitors for many years. It's easy to get around with a good network of roads and excellent public transport.
There are many places of interest including some lovely towns and villages such as Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne as well as historical attractions like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
To the north of the region is the High Peak, with miles of heather moorland and great country walks and cycling.

The Chesterfield / Cutthorpe area

The cottage is found in the quiet village of Pratthall and is a short walk to the local pub, which serves quality food. The village of Baslow close by, offers visitors even more pubs and restaurants. Baslow is also home to the entrance of the famous Chatsworth Estate, known for its beautiful gardens as well as a farmyard and adventure playground for the kids. The market town of Bakewell, known predominately for its tasty pudding, is a short drive away, as is Buxton, known for its spa water. Other great places to visit include Matlock and Matlock Bath, both historic towns full of attractions including the Heights of Abraham and the Lumsdale Valley Heritage Centre. The Peak District is a short drive away and offers plenty of unforgettable walking routes as well as opportunities for cycling, horse riding and even rock climbing.
