"Beautiful Luxurious Cottage with all the comforts of home"

Julie the owner was very thoughtful & considerate and we wanted for nothing. The cottage is set in beautiful grounds with a lovely back garden. Inside was spacious & light, was spotlessly clean and … More

"Everything we hoped for....and more"

The property was very clean, extremely well equipped and cosy. We came for a Graduation in Chester and left resolved to return to spend more time looking round the area. The location of the property lends itself to sight seeing holidays but just as easily to quiet retreats as the village and the grounds are extremely peaceful.
For our sightseeing. we used the Park and Ride into Chester which was very well signposted, and we took an open top bus tour round the city as well as the Roman walking tour. Both were excellent.
Booking was simple and the hostess always seemed to have a smile on her face!

Thank you for taking the time to review Court Lodge. I am so pleased you enjoyed our lovely City, we hope to welcome you again in the future.

"A gem of a place which ticks all the boxes - comfortable, beautifully presented and pretty."

We were a party of 5 women staying at this property whilst down from Scotland on a shopping weekend to Cheshire Oaks Retail Park. We were absolutely delighted with the cottage. It was warm, cosy and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well kitted out with everything we needed and there was plenty of room for all of us at the table. The lounge and bedroom furniture were good quality and very comfortable for lounging and sleeping. The shower was great with plenty of hot water for all of us. The cottage is in a lovely rural location, and felt very private despite being within yards of Julie's (owner) house. Julie recommended a few places to eat nearby and we went to a pub which was around 5mins drive away which was lovely - great food and atmosphere. This property has been a great find and we will definitely be back. I can honestly find nothing negative to say about it and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Julie also allowed us to have a wee nosy around her other rental property which is a lovely, recently converted outbuilding with 3 en-suite bedrooms and an open living/dining/kitchen area. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with either property.

Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to meet you all and next time you come bring a trailer to accommodate all your shopping! We are really well blessed here with all the fabulous shopping outlets!

"Truly beautiful house in a lovely area"

A beautiful house in a lovely area. The house is well equipped, spacious, extremely clean and tidy and well furnished, it truly is a home away from home. Julie, the owner, had also left milk for us in the fridge and a bowl of eggs from her own hens.

The garden outside is beautiful, complete with a little orchard, there is a private car parking space too.

Julie, could not have been any more accommodating than she was, nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely be coming back.

"Top drawer cottage"

We've just returned from a long weekend at this fantastic cottage. The cottage had everything plus more that you would wish to have for a holiday and the welcome gifts were a very pleasant surprise and also were consumed with gusto. We would recommend the cottage very highly and the owners were very friendly and unobtrusive. Absolutely brilliant. We'll return for more.

Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to meet you all and we look forward to seeing you all again.

"Great base to say if you want peace and quiet but close enough to attractions"

Our eldest daughter is at Chester Uni and we wanted to spend half term in that locality to allow us to spend sometime with her. We arrived on Saturday to be met by the owner Julie, who was very friendly, she showed us around made sure we knew where everything was and left us to unpack. The accommodation used to be a stable block hence the large windows.

There was tea, coffee and milk left for us and a large vase of flowers which was very pleasant. All the necessary equipment was present and working although it took us a while to get used to the hob!

There are two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs and a large living room, kitchen and WC downstairs. Everywhere was clean and tidy and it only took a night for us to settle in and feel at home. The living room was spacious and one of the sofa's converts into a bed but we did not use this. The bathroom is entered from both bedrooms which may not suit everyone but we were ok with it, the shower was great. There was plenty of storage and spare bedding.

As regards Ledsham, I thought I lived in a small village, but this was tiny (unless we didn't find the actual village). The local pub approx. 1 mile away was not one I would recommend if you just want a quiet drink, it is geared around low priced food, but the staff were friendly. We spent a lot of our time either just in the accommodation reading, playing games (already in the lodge) and resting. We regularly went to Chester (the Zoo is worth a visit) and if shopping is your thing them Chester will not disappoint. The rural setting will suit those looking for a very quiet time and you are not far from Chester, but if you have active teenagers then you may find they run out of things to do although the free Wifi was something we had not expected and was very very useful in keeping our youngest daughter in touch with here friends!!

The owner (Julie) lives in the main house and does B & B and is converting another building for more lettings which I believe will be 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Apart from the initial arrival and one other meeting we did not see or hear her but you felt that you could go and ask for help at any time if necessary. There is ample parking, a patio area to the rear with table and chairs and a barbecue and a small grassed area for summer use.

We spent 8 night in the Lodge and were sorry to have to leave, I'm sure we will be back again.

"Great Location and lovely homely cottage"

We booked this cottage as a surprise for my mother-in-law's 65th Birthday. The cottage is in a great location only 10mins from the zoo/pak and ride to get into Chester and also 10mins to get to Cheshire Oaks. It is lovely homely cottage which was great for us a family. My 18 month old daughter who had just discovered walking loved all the outdoor space and spacious rooms. Owners very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
