Whether you're browsing for high fashion in many of our exclusive stores, relishing a fine meal in a Michelin starred restaurant, or exploring gardens where the air hangs heavy with scent, the end result is the same.
Pampered and relaxed - you will feel better for having visited Chester.
The Chester / Chester City Centre area
Britain’s historic past is a constant companion as you stroll the ancient thoroughfares and meander along the Rows of this remarkable city. Explore the famous Rows: black and white half-timbered buildings above street level with covered walkways. Mainly shopping galleries now with the occasional pub or little museum tucked in between. You will find all the well-known high street names as well as traditional shops. The Three Old Arches in Bridge Street is the oldest shop front in England. These 13th century curiosities are unique to Chester. Nowhere in Britain is there more black and white architecture which gives Chester its outstanding medieval look.
Iron age hill forts and Norman Castles, candle-carvers and ice-cream makers, cycle trails, wayside walks, canal towpaths, mediaeval bridges.
Easy access to the North Wales Coast to explore their castles such as Conwy, Caernarfon and Bodelwyddan. Pretty towns such as Llangollen with its 14th century bridge [one of the seven wonders of Wales] and home to the world-famous Eisteddfod music festival and nostalgic steam train excursions. Visit the ski and toboggan slopes in Llandudno, the Dinosaur World and the Welsh Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay.
Grosvenor Museum with its graveyard of Roman Tombstones! Military Museum recalling the life and times of its soldiers over the past 300 years. Roman Amphitheatre, the Roman Garden and Minerva’s Shrine and Chester Cathedral originally an early 10th century church.

On arrival at Jasmine Cottage we were warmly greeted by the owner who kindly showed us around and made us feel very much at home. The cottage is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and has all the luxuries a family might need for a weeks holiday. We had never visited Chester before but were impressed with what the city and surrounding area had to offer. We have two young boys and there were plenty of things to do and places to go. We would thoroughly recommend Jasmine Cottage to anyone looking for a holiday in Chester. |

Guestbook for Jasmine Cottage
We have just enjoyed our 5th year staying at Jasmine Cottage and the facilities just keep on improving. Karen and Allan should be the benchmark for all holiday cottages, they demonstrate this by providing everything you can think of - and more besides. The awards they have received must make them very proud.
We'll be back! Smith Family, Isle of Man.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was in no small part due to the exemplary standard of the accommodation you provided. This was the first holiday we had booked on the internet, and Jasmine Cottage completely exceeded our expectations. It looked like a show home, and it is hard to see how the standard could possibly be bettered. Thank you again, and please feel free to use this e-mail to further enhance your obviously good reputation.
Kindest regards,
A. & R. Battson.
