Cherbourg is a lovely port surrended by one of the most beautifull cliff and ports of France, the smallest too.
You have at the west with a tipicall "irish" landscape, and at the east it's ports with theit famous mussels and oysters.
Great food after an exceptionnal day that's what you have to expect if you come !!!!!
The landscapes are so differents from the west and east. th cliffs and the ports will be importants but there are landing beaches of the second war world. The beaches are among the most gorgeous of france and you'll drive through typicall villages.
Normandy is a nice diversified county.
