As a place to retreat from the world but within easy reach of amusement when needed - Lavender Cottage is exactly the right place. Beautifully decorated with a modern feel, the cottage is cmfortable and has every possible thing one could need from soft white towels to Scrabble and Ludo and most importantly , very comfortable beds. When encountered the neighbours are friendly and even invited us to pick plums from their tree, but the small garden is secluded enough to give privacy. The location is ideal for walking or touring and there are shops and a variety of restaraunts just a short drive away. For those who want to stay in the village there is a pub just a stones throw away and another a little further. We met the owner who was friendly and helpful and we felt confident that should there be a problem that she would respond to any requests we made. In fact there were no problems. If my husband and wish to visit that area of the country again we would almost certainly chose Lavender Cottage again. |

Guestbook for Lavender Cottage
"I'm just writing to let you know that my family and I had a great stay at Lavender Cottage and to thank you. This break was just what we all needed and the accommodation was fantastic and made it so easy for us to relax and have a great time. Somerset is beautiful and certainly made an impact on all of us (it was the first time for all of us). Nearby Cheddar Gorge provided a great (but exhausting) day out. I never expected it to be so stunning.

" Lavender Cottage is a very cosy and well equipped cottage - home from home. Countryside fantastic. Although we were not so lucky with the weather we still found plenty to see and do. Thank you for a great week, we hope to come back again soon " Bradshaw Family, Shropshire.
" An enjoyable stay in a great cottage which has it all! Very central to the 'must have' list. Unfortunately our 'must do' list got longer, not shorter, so we will have to return again one day to work on that list! "
Forman Family, Australia.
