VILLAGE PUB - REAL ALE, LOCAL CIDER & HOMEMADE FOOD
The Swan Inn Rowberrow, south of Churchill Crossroads, off A38, BS25 1QL.Tel – 01934 852371
Rowberrow is an ex-mining village, and The Swan has been created from 3 knocked-through miners cottages, overlooking the heather strewn beauty of Beacon Batch. The pub has been around since the late 1700’s, and started life as a cider house – 2 Thatchers cider brands are still on sale!, but the real draw of The Swan is the food.

- Almost exclusively homemade food menu - even the chips!
- Food served 7 days a week, lunchtime and evening.
- 8 wines by the glass
- Lot’s of outside tables and chairs in the garden.
- Terrain perfect for outdoor enthusiasts – walkers, horse riders, (the car park even provides hitching rails for the horses), runners, and mountain bikers.

GOLF Course 10 minutes drive
Mendip Spring Golf Club only 10 minutes drive from Swiss View is just outside of the lovely town of Congresbury, opened its doors to golfers in 1991, and is now in its 14th year.
It is a public pay and play course but to dismay it because of its municipal status would be hugely foolish indeed. It benefits from a fabulous setting, on some luscious parkland turf that is well maintained and manicured by the greenkeeping staff. With a whole host of hazards, particularly, the narrow fairways, well guarded pacy greens, and strategically placed bunkers, it will test every aspect of your game. If you don't feel up to the challenge of the main course, then there are plenty of practice facilities around to hone your game.
Tel: 01934 853337/852322
Lakeside Course – 9, 4784 Yds
Lakeside is pay and play anytime

Brinsea Course - 18, 6352 Yds
Must contact in advance for Brinsea and handicap certificate required at weekends.

Guestbook

Swiss View is a great place, very quiet for nice walks, even the kids liked exploring. Then we only had to drive a short way to find lots of things to do. We went to Wookey Hole near Wells to see the dinosaurs; it was a great day out. We will definitely come back and recommend it to anybody. Karen & Steve Lyons

The apartment is great and we had a fantastic time exploring the area. There was plenty to do for the children, with the beach and amusement parks not far away. Thanks again for your hospitality and a lovely holiday. Best wishes Andrew & Alison Tuley
