"Great Holiday Base With A Relaxing Atmosphere"

My husband, sister and I, together with five dogs recently enjoyed a four night stay at Strawberry Fields Cottage in Draycott. We were welcomed by Joan, a very friendly lady (who later gave us tomatoe… More

A lovely cottage with a beautiful garden. In peaceful countryside. We had a fantastic holiday amazing weather, great days out and the cottage was well equipped, clean and really comfortable. The owners and everybody we spoke to in the village were really friendly. Would definitely go back

"Great house, great location"

Slightly disconcerted on arrival - the lane turns into a farm track before reaching the house, but it does mean that the house is nice and secluded. It is an annexe to the owner's house but we h… More

"Great base for visiting the Mendip Hills and Somerset"

We spent a long weekend at the cottage. Lovely position down a very quiet road with views from main bedroom across the surrounding countryside. Great walks nearby and a pub serving excellent food only 10 mins walk away. You can walk into Cheddar from the cottage but there's lots of other nice places to go to see within a few miles driving distance.

Cottage was very comfortable and provided us with everything we needed.

"Great clean cottage and garden, shame about the service"

My partner and I were really impressed by the cottage when we first saw it after a long and tedious journey; a lovely garden and a clean interior. The owner advertises 'Wi-fi available', how… More

The cottage was booked for 6 Adults and 5 Dogs. I was very sad to learn that because of a family argument the rest of the family (4 adults and 5 dogs) would not be joining the couple.
I was very sorry for the couple, and hoped it would not spoily there holiday.
I gave the gentlemen the password, because he was unable to connect, I offered to get some advise. All previous guest had not experienced any problems, but the gentleman said it was probably his own equipment and not to worry. So I offered my own lap top which he used, I told him he was welcome to use it anytime.
I apologised and offered to clean it, I was told it was actually not that bad and would be ok. I didn't feel I should insist, as it would be intrusive
Guest Book
Not all guest leave comments, so is not a true list of visitors, I have had repeat guests, some leaving cards etc.
County Lane
The cottage is located along a quiet county lane with hedge rows on each side. The farmer cut the hedge 3 or 4 times a year when needed.

You meet a lot of very nice people, great children and pets, all enjoying The very quiet garden and location.
