We chose these cottages (the large one and two lodges) for a week-long family reunion (grandparents, 5 children and partners, 10 grandchildren), and had a wonderful time. We were lucky in the weather (weeklong sunshine), and as a result never needed to visit any of the local attractions: the grandchildren were happily engaged in and around the pool, and the adults enjoyed the peace and comfort - and the hot tubs! The fittings and furnishings are to a high standard, and well thought out; the only additional thing we had to ask to borrow was kitchen scales when my daughter baked a birthday cake! The proprietors are invisible, but present and helpful if needed. Since I live abroad, it is difficult for me to judge prices; I should say the accommodation is on the expensive side, but well worth it. In short, higly recommended. |
