"Lovely cottage for New Year"
I was nearly put off booking this cottage because there weren't many reviews but I am glad I did. Myself, husband and two children (5 and 2) stayed for a week over the new year with another coupl… More

Beautiful well equipped cottage, situated close to Bamburgh (amazing walks/beach) and Seahouses (great fish and chips). We also visited Wooler, Alnwick and did a 9 mile Cheviot hill walk. … More

"Fantastic cottage, Fantastic location!"
Stayed here for a week - 6 adults, 2 children & one dog. It was perfect - room for everyone, gorgeous views, and everything fitted out to a very high standard. We spent most of our time together in the kitchen around the big table. It was nice being in a somewhat remote location, but Bedford was only a 10 minute drive away if we needed anything. It's always great finding a holiday place where we can bring our dog too - she's part of the family. Dog friendly places always do well once word gets out and we will certainly pass the details of the cottage on to our friends with dogs.
We were all very sad to leave, and we'll definitely return. Anne was fantastic and very accommodating to our requests, and the bottle of wine and ginger cake on our arrival was a very nice touch.

"High spec property with all our needs catered for."
An excellent property which made us feel a bit like royalty due to the very high quality interiors and furnishings. We love this area and have been to this site for six years although not in The Woodmill. It is a good situation from which to explore North Northumberland beaches and valleys and offers excellent views of the Kyloe Hills. Woould thoroughly recommend a stay here.

We - 6 friends in our 40s and 50s - stayed in the Woodmill for a week in July. The cottage is in a delightful little hamlet (car essential) where mostly you just hear birds singing and the occasional dog barking.
The cottage is very spacious, tastefully decorated in a contemporary style, and very well equipped throughout. The only thing we missed was a broadband connection, and getting a mobile phone signal was a bit hit and miss. Everything is very clean and we felt really welcome the minute we walked through the door. Beds are very comfortable, and they had all been made up for us with crisp, fresh covers. The huge kitchen table was our "social centre" but there is also plenty of space in the lounge.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing break there and would recommend the cottage without hesitation.
