Les Perthuis is in an ideal position for those who love skiing, or for those looking for a relaxing summer holiday. The apartment makes a beautiful base for a summer or winter break, based at 1200m right at the foot of the 2200m Linga Peak, facing south and opposite the main telecabine lift that connects straight into the Portes du Soleil ski area. There is quick and easy access into Chatel town as well as being ideally located for the main Summer and Winter activities offered at the end of the valley.

The apartment can sleep up to a maximum of 6 people but is most comfortable for 4-5. For larger groups or multiple families please phone me for possibilities. There is a double bedroom, bathroom a hallway with bunk beds and a main living area containing a kitchen, lounge and access to a beautiful large south facing balcony with views to die for. The lounge has a sofa that converts into full size singles.
The apartment is fully furnished in every respect, all you need are towels, sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers. Private Parking and separate ski storage are all included.

The apartment is set back from the valley road up a steep drive. There is a large parking area directly in front of the apartment making access easy for loading unloading. For winter visitors skis are kept in a lockable storage room on the ground floor making it easy to "boot up" outside the apartment.

Rent is normally Saturday to Saturday (depart by midday) but this is open to negotiation. A Deposit of 25% of the rent is due in advance to confirm the booking, then the full rent as shown above is due four weeks before rental date (total of 125% of cost), the keys will then be sent to you. The 25% deposit will be returned on return of the keys assuming the apartment is left in perfect condition.
As this is a home that we are renting I am afraid that no Smoking is allowed inside the house.

Chatel lies at the very end of the Abondance valley. It is an all year round working town with immense charm and character. There are two full seasons Winter and Summer, in spring and autumn it is no less charming but reasonably quiet. The Town forms part of the immense Portes du Soleil, a consortium of 14 ski villages ranging from the internationally recognized (Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets) to unspoilt hamlets, Châtel offers skiers and boarders access to 650 km of piste and 204 ski lifts.
The Chatel area
WINTER : You can ski Switzerland, Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets all from the lift opposite. Chatel is at 1250m and skis between 1350 and 2400m, you can easily ski into Switzerland for lunch. There is a superb free ski bus that connects all ski areas in the Chatel valley, this stops at the end of the drive, However, you can walk out of the apartment over the road and into the Linga Telecabine. New fast 4 and 6 man lifts have been installed this year to improve the links to Avoriaz. The terrain will suit all from beginners to the most advanced. You can ski possibly the most demanding run in the whole French Alps the swiss wall at Avoriaz. The season runs from a week before Christmas until 1st May.
SUMMER : The main summer season of July and August is ideal for walkers, bikers and those that just love relaxing in a mountain atmosphere. Many of the chairlifts open and give access to beautiful high mountain walks and access to other villages and even small Swiss towns. There is abundant wildlife including birds of prey, marmottes, chamois and red squirrels. There are many attractions down the valley on the shores of lake Geneva. There are some mad adventures to be had, try the Fantasticable, white water rafting & kayaking serious mountain biking routes or just pop over to Switzerland, Italy and beyond.
