The gite at Le Planchon offers lovely, authentic French living with hosts who couldn't be any more helpful and a setting which is simply beautiful. The area has all the local facilities required for a great holiday and the gite offers all the mod cons needed whilst keeping its rustic homely charm. If its raining then stay in and watch sky tv, a dvd or read a book infront of the log burner. If its sunny then have a drink in the oustide dining area or go for a walk around the French countryside. The clean, practical accomodation will meet all needs. Kiran and Angelo are excellent hosts and will go over and above what you'd expect, either Kiran with her excellent cooking and choice in books or Angelo with his fire lighting skills and sense of humour. Whether you are a family, couple or partner of a fisherman, with two years of experience with this gite, I recommend this as a place to stay. |

We received a very warm, friendly welcome from the Kiran, the owner, on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always on hand with plenty of advice on where to go & what to see, but without being intrusive. The kitchen is really well equipped (far better than most holiday cottages I have stayed in) and the supermarket is only a short distance away with everything you need, so cooking wasn't the chore it normally is on holiday! You really get a taste of rural french life here and this place has the best of both worlds. If you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday it is ideal as the setting is tranquil, but there are plenty of places to visit nearby if you like to go out and about. If you do want to explore, the roads are very quiet, but a car is essential. We would definitely stay here again and hope to return next year. Response: Hi, Thanks very much for the review, greatly appreciated and it will help other potential clients wishing to book the Gite in the future. Kiran |
