The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
Chateauneuf de Grasse is located about 6 kms from the villages of Valbonne and Grasse. The village of Valbonne has a very popular market each Friday morning & a lovely atmosphere to enjoy a stroll around the boutiques, or enjoy a meal or a glass of rosé in the square. Grasse is the centre of the perfume industry, with visits available to the perfumeries, small streets with interesting shops and restaurants.A 20 -30 minute drive will get you to Cannes(famous for the film festival) where you can beach, shop, relax or take a boat out to the Isles de Lerin. Antibes has a delightful fortified village centre, beach and lots to see and do. Nice is a well known seaside town with a bigger city centre, galleries, museums, & daily bike rental. Wineries of the Var are also a short drive away.
The Chateauneuf Grasse area
There are many good golf courses in the area. The closest a 5 minutes drive. Horseriding, go-carting, tennis, paintball, within 10 minutes. Waterpark, Marineland, beaches, sailing approx. 30 kms. Plenty of lovely walks to be enjoyed in the area. Local restaurants mostly enjoy outdoor dining, with both simple pizzeria & Michelin star restaurants within a few minutes drive.The region has many perched villages to explore and perhaps enjoy a lunch on a terrace. There is a market every Monday morning in Chateauneuf de Grasse. The location is ideal in terms of both privacy and accessibility to the many attractions and activities of the region.
