Home description
A well appointed luxury gìte ideal for couples who want to escape to the country but still want all the modern conveniences of home.
When you enter the cottage you will be struck by the contrast of the traditional exterior and the interior design which draws its influence from a Manhattan loft with low level furniture and clean lines.
You will be greeted with a ‘Little Treats’ pack containing essentials such as tea, coffee and bread to get you in the mood for your holiday.
Ideally situated for château and wine tours, there are plenty of other leisure activities including water sports, fishing, walking, cycling, golf and shopping. It is stylish and comfortable, combining ultra modern interior design and state of the art entertaiment systems with traditional old stone and beams.

The Loire Valley / Sarthe region
The Loire is known as the ‘Garden of France’ thanks to its temperate climate and abundant local produce.
Le Lude is a 10 minute drive from the property, offering spectacular river views, magnificent châteaux and boutiques, restaurants, bars and historic buildings, as well as superb markets.
Le Mans, approx 30 minutes drive away, as well as being famous for car and motorcycle racing has some of the best preserved Roman walls in Europe, a magnificent cathedral in the old town and a preserved Jacobean centre.
The Loire Region is steeped in history and provides many attractions with its museums, abbeys, medieval churches, cathedrals, and troglodyte caves - all close by. The climate is very temperate with long hot summers and mild short winters. And if you crave the beach its only about 2 and a half hours away.
You are ideally placed to visit all the vineyards of the region which produces light reds, white and rosé wines.
For adults (who are really kids at heart) there is a fabulous zoo at La Flèche and there are 140 ‘Boules’ clubs in the area for those who want to play with the locals.
The river, lakes and forests accommodate those with outdoor interests. There is a wide range of water sports such as fishing, sailing, canoeing or swimming, jetskiing is less than a km away.
There are public swimming pools and local lakes with fishing and sandy beaches.
There are also plenty of paths for cycling, walking and horse riding.
There are at least six first class golf courses in the area.
For those partial to ‘retail therapy’ there are a multitude of options from local markets to exclusive boutiques in Le Mans, Tours and Angers (and, of course, Paris is less than an hour away on the TGV from Le Mans).
We live in the area and are only a phone call away for recommendations and handy hints about the area.
Chateau du Loir area
The very local town is the historic town of Vaas which is set on the river Loire. It is within walking distance and, in addition to shops, bars and restaurants there are loads of water sports such as jetskiing, boating and fishing. There is a weekly market where you can pick up fresh produce.
Château du Loir is a larger town also on the Loir river and has a train station, several supermarkets and a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.
How to get there
There are loads of ways to reach us. You can fly via www.ryanair.com from Stanstead to Tours, via www.easternairways.com from Southampton to Angers and into Paris via various airlines where you pick up the TGV at the airport which takes 1hr 20 mins to Le Mans.
