It is fully equipped and furnished to a very high standard that is in keeping with its traditional setting. It is set in a rare location,offering lovely immediate surroundings with the additional benefits of easy access to surrounding towns( Stratford Upon Avon 4 miles, Warwick 6 miles, Cotswolds 30 minutes drive).The cottage offers 1 double bedroom with views over owners garden, large lounge (with gas effect wood burner), kitchen and bathroom with shower. It is in an ideal setting for complete relaxation or for exploring beautiful Warwickshire and all it has to offer. A perfect break at any time of the year.
Perfect for those who appreciate delightful gardens (various National Trust properties nearby) and stunning countryside views. From the kitchen window, Roe deer can be seen roaming in Charlecote Park. There are many lovely walks from the doorstep, maps and advice are available at request. This is an Ideal location for experiencing all the cultural activities this area has to offer (Stratford upon Avon theatre is 5 miles away), all year round.

Fully refubished in 2009 with a mix of contemporary and antique furniture, The Stables provides accomodation of this highest standard whilst maintaining the 'home from home' comforts which make it a unique place to stay.
The kitchen is tastefully decorated and fully equipped with a large fridge-freezer, microwave, electric hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine. Additionally, there is a small table and chairs. Ironing facilities are provided, with a hoover available at request.
The well-equipped bathroom is tiled and includes a powerful Mira shower, with high quality towels and bath robes provided. There is plenty of additional storage space available.
The lounge area, comprising of a large 3-seater sofa-bed and an additional 2-seater sofa, enjoys lovely views over the attractive gardens. Additionally, the lounge accomodates a large dining table. A gas-effect log burner will provide warmth and cosiness during winter evenings. There is a large flat-screen TV with an extensive Sky Package and a DVD player that accompanies a good range of DVD's. A digital radio and iPod Docking Station will keep music loves entertained, and a large selection of novels, local guides and maps are also available to our guests.
The bedroom is furnished with an antique painted pine double bed. A high-quality mattress and bed linen will maximise comfort for guests, who can enjoy lovely views over the gardens without getting out of bed.
Fresh eggs can be provided form our own chickens at request, and beautiful hand-tied bunches of flowers (grown and arranged by the owner) can be organised on arrival for special occasions.

The hot tub is a wonderful addition to your stay at The Stables. It is a treat at any time of the year. Our guests love it, be it on a lazy summer evening or when it is cold and frosty . The lighting in the hot tub area, with the provision of a fridge to keep your wine chilled and a cd player to listen to your favourite music makes for a lovely romantic experience. There are very few restrictions on its use and there are no extra charge is made for its' use
The cottage has small lawned area adjacent to property with a bench and small table. Sun loungers can be provided. You are free to relax in the owners own beautiful garden.
Private parking area
Safe storage for bikes can be provided.
Nearest pub- Charlecote Pheasant Hotel 5 minutes walk and local pub in Hampton Lucy (5 minutes drive/20 minutes walk)

Refundable breakages deposit of £100 for a weeks stay or £50 for weekend stay required either with final balance payment or on arrival , refunded within 2 weeks of departure( subject to satisfactory inspection of property)
£50 deposit required to secure your booking with balance required 4 weeks before your stay.
A booking made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival will require full payment.
PLEASE NOTE the cottage sleeps 2 in in one bedroom . There is a double sofa bed to accommodate a further 2 people and if this is requested then any extra payment is required - SEE CHARGES.

The area around Charlecote is steeped in history . It is an area that offers much to do. Stratford upon Avon theatre is nearby , and Warwick Arts centre and Birmingham offer many opportunities for theatre and concerts. Historic sites include those offered in Stratford upon Avon: Shakespeare's birthplace, Ann Hathaway's Cottage, Mary Arden's Cottage. Also nearby, Warwick Castle, Kenilworth Castle. There are many National Trust properties locally including Hidcote, Upton House, Baddesley Clinton. There is excellent shopping nearby including Leamington Spa, Solihull and Birmingham.
The Charlecote area
Charlecote is a small village located between Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon. It lies on the edge of Charlecote Park, a Tudor House, with a Capability Brown-designed deer Park now owned by the National Trust. It has been in the Lucy Family for over 700years. Shakespeare is rumoured to have been caught poaching on the estate.
There is an historic working mill in the village. The Pheasant Hotel is situated in the village and there are 2 garden centres that are well worth a visit. The nearest amenities( shops, small supermarkets , petrol, pubs) are at Wellesbourne 1 mile away.
The area is wonderful for walking and cycling with quiet country lanes to cycle ( routes can be provided by the owners) with walks from the doorstep and further afield in the Cotswolds.There is an abundance of good restaurants and good pubs in the area.
Charlecote is only 4 miles from Stratford upon Avon and all it has to offer in terms of culture and eating out. Warwick Arts centre has an excellent theatre and film programme and Birmingham is within easy access if you want a bigger city experience. There are concerts and festivals held in the area notably at Warwick Castle and Ragley Hall.
