About the home

This well presented, high quality cottage nestles on the hillside overlooking some truly stunning views of the Combs Valley. It has been furnished to a high standard and offers very comfortable quality accommodation. The cruck roof is one of the many original features of the property together with oak beams and stone alcoves. From the door step of the cottage are an abundance of local walks and cycle routes with easy access to the local railway station for many additional towns and villages to explore. A short walk from the cottage is the local pub serving real ale and home cooked food. A fabulous location with amazing views of the countryside.

The Heart of England / Peak District / Peak District/Derbyshire region

The Peak District and Derbyshire is a contrast of high rolling moorland, craggy outcrops and picture post card vales and valleys with 'chocolate box' villages.
The whole area is dominated by Britain's first national park; The Peak District National Park which has been catering for visitors for many years. It's easy to get around with a good network of roads and excellent public transport.
There are many places of interest including some lovely towns and villages such as Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne as well as historical attractions like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
To the north of the region is the High Peak, with miles of heather moorland and great country walks and cycling.

The Chapel en le Frith / Combs area

The peaceful village of Combs is an idyllic location and has some truly stunning views of the surrounding countryside to the grit stone hills of Castle Naze, Combs Moss and Ladder Hill. There is a local golf course nearby and a well equipped sports centre for the active ones amongst us and for the more relaxed, some gentle “pub walks”, bars and restaurants to visit. A short drive away is the start of the Pennine Way- Kinder Scout, located near Edale in the Hope Valley. Also in the valley is Castleton home of the semi precious stone, Blue John and the caves featuring amazing stalactites and stalagmites. Buxton is close by with its many shops, bars, restaurants and popular Opera House and Spring Gardens, providing some fabulous entertainment throughout the year. A great location, surrounded by Derbyshire's fabulous picturesque scenery.
