Superbly situated on the tranquil bay of Almyrida, with breathtaking views across the Aegean Sea and magnificent panoramic views of the White Mountains. From the peace and serenity of the private grounds, a gentle stroll leads to the sandy beach and pretty cove, lined with romantic waterside tavernas. The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside, ancient archaeological sites and the historical yet modern town of Chania with its beautiful Venetian harbour.

Peaceful setting of mature gardens and a private swimming pool overlooking the sea. Impressive glass doors open onto balconies and terraces with spectacular views. The high quality accommodation features "Dux" swedish bedding, deluxe outdoor furniture and all modern conveniences including electronic control systems for Satellite TV, music and air-conditioning/heating. We also offer a 5 star hospitality service for an unforgettable holiday experience.

The accommodation is on 3 levels. The ground floor has a grand open plan living room with sumptuous soft seating, dining area for 8 and fully equipped kitchen including fridge/freezer, oven/hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and espresso/filter coffee maker.

Unobstructed views of the sea and mountains through the glass patio doors to the covered terrace and swimming pool area. On the first floor the master bedroom has king size bed and luxurious en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath, separate shower, WC and washbasin. Bedroom 2 has twin beds (convertible to king) and spacious en-suite shower room.

Both bedrooms have glass doors to a large covered balcony with superb sea and mountain views. The lower ground floor has the 3rd & largest bedroom with twin beds (convertible to king).Glass doors open onto a private courtyard with access to the swimming pool terrace. Spacious family bathroom with steam shower/sauna & washbasin. Separate WC.

Privately enclosed grounds and beautifully landscaped mature gardens throughout with many trees, shrubs and flowers. The swimming pool is 42m2 (1-2m deep) and surrounded with grass and wooden deck areas. Extensive terraces throughout including shaded pergolas and cosy corners with soft seating for relaxing. Separate sunbathing, relaxing and dining areas. High quality sun loungers, parasols, sofas and other casual seating.

Parking area for 6 cars (2 allocated per villa). Automatic night lighting. Remote control entrance gates.

The Crete region

Crete is a fascinating blend of history, legend, myths and a thriving folklore
There are many walks or treks along mountain paths and gorges including the world famous Samaria Gorge. Other activity pursuits include horse riding, tennis, golf, go-karting and climbing. Most water sports are available including, diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing, fishing.
Cultural interests include museums, archaeological sites, ancient towns, churches, monasteries, folklore festivals, theatre and cinemas (open air in the summer).

The Chania / Almyrida area

The Apokoronas region of North West Crete is an area of outstanding natural beauty filled with wildlife, an abundance of wild flowers, herbs, olive trees, citrus groves and a wide range of organically grown fruits and vegetables. Fresh produce is available daily from local markets while restaurants and tavernas offer a choice of international cuisine or traditional home cooked specialties typical of the healthy “Mediterranean Diet”.

Almirida is an ideal base for exploring the many picturesque inland villages, dramatic mountain gorges and some of the island’s best beaches and sheltered bays nearby.

Chania, the capitol of West Crete, is only 30 minutes drive and has a beautiful Venetian Harbour with a fascinating history. You can also find all the facilities and amenities that you would expect of a modern city with fine restaurants, bars, clubs, live music, traditional harbour side tavernas and fashionable shops.

You can hire a car or bicycle or even take a boat ride along the coast. Some of the best scenery can be seen on foot.

The place is more than it is promising on the web-site! The view is breathtakingly beautiful! The place is peaceful and wonderful for relaxing and enjoying luxury of life. Early morning sun rising with the clear sky, the mountain view is extraordinary. Night sky with stars is one-of-a-kind. The villa itself is designed to perfection! I had also the pleasure of getting to know Katerina and Pavlos, who are the owners of the wonderful place and they are simply the best! This place I will visit again! LEENA FINLAND

When my friends and I saw the photos, we didn't believe such a place could be real. Well, it is! We spent 10 days in the beautiful, luxurious Villa Anemos, being pampered as never before. Two smiling maids showed up every day to make this immaculate home even more spotless. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the pool really does look out on infinity, or at least the bay. Delivery of delicious Greek hot meals or a taxi required the push of a telephone button. The village of Almyrida was a 5 minute walk away, but we still felt we had the islond to ourselves due to the location and security. We might have ventured out more, but why travel around in uncomfortable heat when the superbly air-conditioned villa had everything? NELLAPOOM US

This was our second visit and, hopefully, not our last. Accommodation is truly first class. Spacious, well equipped and very well maintained. Location is excellent with uninterrupted sea views and beautiful sunsets. Within 5 mins walk you have the decent Almyrida beach and a number of Tavernas offering excellent Cretan food (amid the burgers and fish and chips - Almyrida is a popular resort with the English!). More traditional Cretan villages are within an easy drive but, to be honest, we hardly left the villa/taverna/beach nexus since everything there was so nice. ANDY MILLER SCOTLAND
