About the home

Rock Houses' Villa Rhapsody is just a breath away from everything. Two minutes walk from the most beautiful beach of northern Crete, close to every amenity needed such as shops, restaurants, nightlife, playgrounds, mini golf, horseback riding, pharmacy, doctor's office, bus stops, taxi station, historic sites, museums.

Enjoy your relaxation in the private pool of each villa in a beautiful garden full of cretan trees and herbs that give a unique and sensual fragrance of the cretan land, or have a romantic dinner al fresco in the big veranda next to the pool.

On the ground floor(55m²) of each villa you will have a fully equipped luxury kitchen with refrigerator, electric oven and ceramic plateau, microwave oven, multi coffee maker, toaster, juicer, dishwasher, air condition and independent heating system for the winter.

In the living room you can enjoy watching the satellite LCD TV. DVD, audio stereo system, as well as the fire place during the cold winter days.

You will have special relaxation moments in the bedroom with its king size bed, the romantic bed cloths and the sensual candle lighting reflecting on the stone walls. Also in the bedroom there is a TV set.
In the sun bright bathroom you can relax in the jacuzzi bathtub and considering your personal needs we have at your disposal hair dryer, a personal treatment kit, towels, bathrobes and slippers.

As you walk up the stairs from the living room, you get to the attic(13m²) of the house with its bedroom, which can be changed from a king size bed to two single beds, according to your needs and always having as a result your comfort. From this beautiful room of the villa, you feel so close to the natural materials with which both villas were built, such as the big logs made of cypress woods that hold the roof. You can also have a wonderful look at the garden the swimming pool and the veranda from the window next to your bed. As you walk out the door you come to the big balcony(25m²) from where you can enjoy the wonderful view from above and also sunbathing.

From the living room walking down the stairs you come to the basement(35m²) of the house, where you can use the washing machine, the drier, the ironing board and iron whenever it’s needed in a little room especially formed.

There is also a luxurious W.C with hydro massage shower, hair dryer and towels.

You will also have the possibility of using an area of 30m2 of the basement according to your needs and after informing us, as:
*A children’s playground with interests of occupation for our little guests.

The swimming pool(25m²) of each villa is right in front, into its cool tree planted garden(200m²) with comfortable sunbeds. Between the two villas a group of trees has been planted so you can enjoy the natural discreet privacy of the house you have chosen.

Upon arrival a very rich and full tray with homemadegoodies, is provided to you as a warm welcome to our villa.
We are flexible on arrival dates but arrival time is after 15.00hrs and departure must be latest by 11.00hrs

Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1st
In order to confirm your booking you will have to send us a deposit of 25% of the total amount of your stay.
The balanced amount will have to be paid by you 20 days prior your arrival. Reservations made within 20 days or less from the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.


2nd
After your arrival and in case you do not stay all the days you have booked the villa for, there will be no refund of your money.

3rd
In case you cancel your booking after our confirmation invoice has been issued:
-2 weeks or less before arrival the amount charged will be 100% of the total cost.
-4 weeks before arrival the amount charged will be 50% of the total cost
-6 weeks before arrival the amount charged will be 20% of the total cost .
- The secuity deposit is refunded in full.
We do not refund money in the case of natural disaster or in any case it is not our responsibility. We are willing however to keep the amount for a future booking of the persons who for any reason had to cancel their arrival to the villa, subject to availability.
4th
Parents and guardians are responsible for the use of the swimming pool by children.

5th
We have made an inventory list of the items inside the villa the garden and the pool area which is checked before your arrival and after your departure. Upon your arrival you will be asked to submit a a breakage deposit of 300euros which will be returned to you if no breakage has occurred, within 10 working days from your departure. In case of breakage or loss of an item inside the villa, in the garden and pool area, you will be considered responsible and we will therefore have to hold the amount of damage from your breakage deposit. If the amount is higher than the breakage deposit you will be asked to pay the difference. If the amount of the breakage is less than the breakage deposit, we will return to you the remaining amount of your breakage deposit.

6th
Upon arrival, our guest who made the booking will have to sign with their identification documents / passport.

7th
It is forbidden:
to displace the interior furniture
pets inside the villa and the garden
We would very much appreciate it if you would not smoke inside the villa.

The Crete region

Rock Houses' "Villa Rhapsody" is in the most touristic village of Chania prefecture, Platanias. It is only 3 minutes walking distance away from a sandy beach which is unfolded in an extent of many kilometres and in which the visitor enjoys moments of relaxation in isolated beaches, moments of adventure with water sports in the well-organised beaches or moments of frantic amusement in innumerable beach bars.

The village of Platanias, which in combination with its preferential place in the prefecture and the splendid beaches, is classified as one of the most touristic parts of Greece and you can find all services needed. Here you will find banks and ATM machines, post office doctor’s office, drugstores, super markets, commercial shops and shops with touristic types and souvenirs, a lot of playground areas and mini golf, restaurants, cafeterias, bars, clubs, as well as live music scenes.

There is also regular transportation urban and long distance, taxi and a lot of tourist offices and motorbike and car rental offices.

Also from a lot of points of the village, you can take the graphic mobile trains that make near and distant trips in beautiful locations and traditional villages outside the region of Platanias.

Souda which is the commercial harbour of Chania abstains only 30 minutes and the airport of Chania 45 minutes.

The Chania / Platanias area

In Chania prefecture there are many choices for daily excursions or near walks, like the city of Chania, which abstains hardly 14 km from the villas. There you can walk in splendid small roads of the old city of Chania with background the famous and beautiful Venetian harbour, with the innumerable tourist shops taverns and restaurants, as well as a lot of bars and cafeterias.

Visit the Venetian fortress of Firka, in which the naval museum of Chania is accommodated. Precisely opposite dominates the famous lighthouse in the entry of the old harbour. Little further is also the archaeological museum of Chania, which has important discoveries of the Minoan years and from the ancient Kydonia. Also a very beautiful and interesting place to visit is the Municipal Market of Chania.

“A peaceful haven” Villa Rhapsody is very tastefully furnished, with lots of extras which you would expect in a good quality hotel. The second bedroom is a mezzanine so it is more suited to a family of four than 2 sets of adults. We travelled with out 2 daughters in their early 20's and they were very comfortable. It was very clean and the pool was a pleasant respite from the heat. We spent a lot of time outdoors but the lounge area was very pleasant. Villa Rhapsody is very near to the hustle and bustle of Platanias but once through the gates you wouldn't know. Can recommend Cosmos restaurant which you can see on the hill from the pool. Take a taxi as it is a long walk! The owner Yioulia was very pleasant and spoke excellent English. She was there if we needed her but not intrusive. The owners run a bar near the premises but we never heard it even though it was open until 5.00a.m. It opened at 10.00 but we never made it there! Lovely villa. Response: We want to have guests just like this family! They were great, very respective of the villa, very polite and wonderful family. We wish to see them again in our of our villas in the future.

“A little piece of heaven” We stayed at Villa Rhapsody and did not want to leave, it was peaceful, tasteful,clean,we shall certainly return for a longer stay, highly recommended .

The villas are amazing even better and more beautiful than our expectations from your website. They have much character and are equipped with everything you could possibly need, great for families and couple alike. Everything from the gardens and pool to bedrooms and bathrooms - PERFECT! Having chosen to get married here at Rock Houses villas, we could not have wished for better surroundings and a more perfect day. It was perfect from beginning to end and we are very sad to leave. Should we choose to come back to Crete we would not hesitate to book the Rock Houses again and would not hesitate to recommend the villas to anyone choosing to stay in Platanias.
