Theoxenia stands in its own grounds and is one of 2 apartments for holiday lets,where you can enjoy relaxing in the garden or by the pool. The pool is in an elevated position overlooking olive groves with mountains beyond. 10m x 4.5m fully tiled with paved area around surrounded by flowers.
We think we have the best of both worlds here as you can simply laze around the pool, soaking up the silence and scenery and then stroll down to one of the local tavernas, prepare your own meal (or a takeaway) to enjoy by the glow of the underwater pool lighting .. or you can enjoy a day on the beach or explore the island.

The Crete region
Crete is the largest Greek Island,some 156 miles long it is easily reached by air from most Brittish Airports.A local Habour,long sandy beaches and a good selection of tavernas and night bars is all at your doorstep. Titos offers live music but plenty of the local tavernas offer this in the evening too.The nearest is only 200 metres from the Vila.About a 4 mile drive you can experience,Chania and Rethymno which have markets with plenty of local produce.
Chania / Georgioupolis area
Georgioupolis, originally a fishing village has expanded over the years to accommodate holiday makers who come to enjoy its sandy beaches, relaxed atmosphere and "buzz" on Summer nights. Good tavernas are plentiful, as are quality gift shops and small supermarkets where wine can be bought straight from the barrel. Georgioupolis can be reached in five minutes by car or a 25 minute walk down hill. For those not wanting to walk back up the hill a taxi can usually be found costing about 5 euros.
We are roughly midway between Chania 35km west and Rethymno 25km east. Both are ancient towns full of interest with smal winding streets, alleyways and, of course, picturesque harbours with tavernas, etc. There is a regular bus service from Georgioupolis to both towns.
Away from the towns there are numerous opportunities for walking. Dozens of small mountain villages to explore and, because of the rugged nature of the country, a different view around every bend.
How to get there
Both Chania & Heraklion Airports lead out onto the national road, from here the turn is clearly marked to Georgioupolis,we are easy to find after that. Easy Jet & Jet 2 are the most cost effective airlines. Call if you require assistance or directions. Most people like to hire a car for at least part of their holiday and we are able to arrange discounted car hire.
