The Villa is in the most beautiful setting in a valley overlooking olive groves, and views of the white mountains and sea.
Newly constructed in 2007 you will find the Villa in the village of Darmarohori a quiet traditional village, but yet only 15 minutes drive from the other lively resorts of Platanias and Kissamos.Villa White Mountain View has an open plan ground floor , the kitchen is equipped with a full cooker, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. The lounge area, with modern comfortable sofas leads off from the kitchen.
Double doors in the lounge open directly on to a patio which has a sofa and table just right for sitting with a glass of wine! TV/DVD (with a small selection of DVDs) are also provided for your entertainment.
Our Villa makes for a wonderful family holiday, we have tried to make it less of a hassle to travel that is why we have included a cot, pushchair,highchair, children's DVDs and toys and the all important microwave.

Downstairs bedroom has bed side tables standard size double bed, wardrobe with chest of drawers and french doors out on to the patio. Bedroom 2 has one double bed, and travel cot if needed, wardrobe with chest of drawers and bed side tables. There are also french doors leading to the balcony. Bedroom 3 has a bunkbed and also a fold down bed, wardrobe with chest of drawers, and french doors leading to the balcony. On the balcony there are 2 chairs.
The downstairs bathroom is right next door to the bedroom, and has all modern facilities.
Further details outdoors:
There is a built in BBQ area with kitchen units and sink. Just outside of the lounge there is a sofa and coffee table, also in the garden are 4 sun beds and a marble mosaic table and 6 chairs for those alfresco meals. The pool is a private pool and is 7 meters. There is an outhouse which has a washing machine, clothes horse, ironing board, washing basket, pegs and a pushchair.

Local assistance ( english speaking ) maid service and villa information file. The prefered change over day is Tuesday but this can possibly be altered if required.
There is a £100 deposit to secure the villa and a further £100 refundable deposit providing there are no breakages.

The Crete region
There is a taverna 5 mins gentle walk from the villa and a shop 1 min walk.The local beach is only 5 mins by car. A 25 minute drive will take you to beautiful Chania with its Venetian buildings and narrow winding alleys ( known as little Venice).
There is something for everyone in Crete from walking in the mountains, bird watching, dolphin watching, boat trips, go karts, horse riding, snorkling, diving, a water park and even bungy jumping!!
The Chania / Tavronitis area
Drive 5 mins from the villa and you will find the villages of Tavronitis and Kamisiana they have supermarkets, Tavernas, bakers, butchers, and a pharmacy. Head towards Platanias and there you will find bouncy castles for the children and crazy golf for the bigger children.
Plus a multitude of shops, tavernas and of course the beach. Beaches are a multitude whether you want quiet or busy there is something for everyone!!

The closest airport is Chania. This is a 45 mins drive from the villa. There are flights every tuesday. Main carriers are Viking, Monarch, Thomas Cook and Olympic airlines.

Well maintained villa, own pool and with very helpful caretaker right next door. Essential to have car but plenty of choice for restaurants within 5-15mins and beaches within 10-30mins - Pirates Cove very good with small beach bar for snacks/drinks etc. Chania well worth two visits (second to see what you missed the first time!) Spinalonga quite a trip but well worth the effort as is the Samaria gorge - but make sure you have some decent shoes/boots - tough walk (took us just over 5hours) Enjoyed Island very much and would return |
