The villa is located in the seaside village of Livadia, Innahorion, in the south-Western part of Crete, at a distance of 72 km from Chania and 31 km from Kissamos. The villa can be accessed through a 4 km long road that is connected to the regional provincial road. The village is located in the middle of the European hiking path E4– a seaside route of exceptional natural beauty- that starts at the village of Kambos and continues through the villages of Livadia, Chryssoskalitissa and Elafonissi. The route is typical of the rugged beauty of Crete with amazing changes of the scenery between olive and locust trees and sea-beaten rocks of black and red volcanic lava.
In the village of Livadia, buying food is still done in the traditional way – you may buy fish from the fishermen in the small harbour, vegetables, dairy products and meat from the farmers, but you will also find three small taverns. There is a mini-market in the village of Kefali and larger supermarkets in the villages of Platanos and Kissamos. A gas station is located about 11 km away in the village of Elos. The villa tenants may, if they wish, take part in the daily activities of the village people: they may charter a boat for a boating outing or fishing, they can learn about or even do some farming work, they may join the village people in their local festivities, they may take part in the annual grape picking and grape stamping to make wine, they can watch how tsikoudia (Cretan local drink) is made etc. Finally, they are sure to become friends with the village people, who still treat foreign visitors as their own guests following the Cretan hospitality tradition
How to get there
Charter Flights to Chania Direct Charter flights to Chania operate on a TUESDAY from Birmingham / Bristol / Gatwick / Manchester and are operated by Excel, Air 2000, Monarch, Thomas Cook (JMC), Azorair. Some operators have up to 4 arrivals each, at various times, on a Tuesday from the UK. The Charter flights will be operating from April to the beginning of November.
Scheduled Flights to Chania You can fly into Chania (CHQ) any day of the week on scheduled flights which depart the UK from Gatwick / Manchester and Birmingham. Scheduled flights from Gatwick are operated by B.A. / Olympic and Aegean and fly into Athens where you will change onto the Olympic flight direct to Chania which takes approx. 35 minutes. There are numerous flights from Athens to Chania during the day – every day.
Charter Flights to Heraklion Direct charter flights into Heraklion arrive mainly on TUESDAYS and FRIDAYS from Bristol / Birmingham / Bournemouth / Cardiff / Glasgow / Gatwick / Stanstead / Manchester and Newcastle. There are some Charter Airlines who also fly into Heraklion on Mondays, Thursday and Sundays but the best availability will be on a TUESDAY and a FRIDAY. Although Heraklion is not the nearest Airport to our Villas, it may be a preferable arrival point especially from some UK regional airports. We will still meet you and provide transport or arrange your Car Hire booking to be waiting for you on arrival. If you are able to book from a UK regional airport, all well and good, as we are sure you will prefer to travel along the Cretan coastline rather than a UK motorway to London.
Scheduled Flights To Heraklion You can fly into Heraklion (HER) any day of the week on scheduled flights which operate mainly from Gatwick / Manchester and Birmingham. These flights fly into Athens where you can change to many of the daily Olympic flights into either Heraklion or Chania. You may book any Scheduled flight into Athens from any UK regional airport and then change to Olympic or Cronus Aegean for the 35 minute flight into either Chania or Heraklion.
An Alternative ! Catch any Scheduled flight from any UK airport into Athens International. Take the number 019 bus (or taxi) to the port (Pireaus) and board one of the many, daily or overnight, ferries to Chania – now, there's a different way to arrive. Yes, we will even meet you on the dockside!!

Further details indoors: The villa Crete Ostria -Elafonisi has a surface of 175 square metres and it is built on two independent levels connected with an exterior staircase that goes all the way down to the pool. The main house on the upper level consists of a living-room with three couches around a stone-built fireplace and an old commode and a dining-room that can easily accommodate up to eight persons. The kitchen area with its many blue cupboards is outlined by a partition hatch and it is fully equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, a dish-washer, a washing-machine, an electric cooker with oven, a coffee-maker, a toaster and a kettle. The balcony doors and the windows offer a magnificent view of the sea
SPA - the most romantic balcony of all Crete.
The outside, marble-paved courtyard stands out like a window in the infinite blue of the sea and it is the perfect place to have a glass of wine while enjoying a dreamy sunset. At its end we find a balcony out of iron and wooden in the shape of the deck of a boat of which approximately the half is on open air above an excavation - with included in it (the excavation) a circular jacuzzi on the ground - which offers the possibility for four people to benefit from the benefits of a SPA - by tasting with delight a drink with a splendid view on the area and blue azure of the sea - without exaggeration the most erotic and romantic balcony of all Crete.
the bedrooms
A corridor leads to the bedrooms and the bathroom. The master bedroom has an old metal double bed with bedposts and ceiling with gossamer curtains hanging from it An autonomous bathroom, profiting from a special atmosphere with modern toilets, wash-hand basins and bath-tub as well as a double hydormassage to release you with a unique view on the garden through a huge bay window is on your disposal. The second bedroom has two double beds. The marble bathroom has a wonderful marble shower, a toilet and a wash basin and reaches the second bedroom.
The guest house
The guest house on the lower level is an independent apartment in modern style with two rooms and pine-wood floors. The main room has windows with wonderful view of the sea and the pool, a living room with a double sofa bed, a bed and an armchair that can be turned into a bed. Arranged in the opposite end of the room, there is a kitchen with pine-coloured cupboards, an electrical cooker with oven, a small refrigerator and a modern dining room. This area has an independent bathroom with a toilet and a wash basin, all covered in marble. Next to this room, there is a bedroom with a double bed and its own independent marble bathroom with a built-in shower, a toilet and a wash basin.
Further details outdoors: Pool -The L-shaped pool is 14m long, 7 m wide and has a depth ranging from 0,8 m to 2 m. The colonnades and the surrounding area resemble roman baths while below the pergola there is a large table that can accommodate up to 8 people. Between the colonnades there is a barbecue grill. The pool area is swamped with vegetation which, combined with many different flowers, make up a wonderful idyllic setting and at the same time ensure absolute privacy to the villa residents who wish to swim or sunbathe in the nude.
note -All rooms are air-conditioned (hot or cold, depending on the season). Special offer in reservation of 2 weeks for 2009........ .
