The Crete region

Situated in the southest part of Europe, Crete is the second biggest island of Greece. The island is loved for its hot climate, beautiful and famous beaches, bustling towns, delicious food and the traditional cretan hospitality, making it an ideal holiday destination for families and experienced travellers alike.

Sirili is a quiet, small village, a traditional paradise of 240 inhabitants, some 15 minutes only away from Chania. As time goes by quietly and as majestic landscapes surround you, your stay here becomes a revitalizing experience both for your spirit and your body. People here traditionally produce olive oil, wine, oranges, lemons and tsikoudia. You can also find in the village a doctor, a carpenter and an olive oil press. You can start your travel from Sirili – either on foot or by car - go through orange and olive trees and discover the equally beautiful villages of the area around. You can see here places that tourism has not yet seen , you can taste traditional cuisine at small family taverns, and of course have the unique experience of a tsikoudia glass or a greek coffee at traditional cafes with locals, living thus the real Crete and the hospitability and friendliness of its people. In the neighbour village of Dere, you can find a horse riding club and experience riding up on the mountain.Next to Sirili – only 4 km away – you can relax at the beautiful beach of Tavronitis, extending to more than 3 km, and enjoy some tranquility and connection with nature as the place is not touristically developed. You can enjoy delicious tastes however, in the traditional taverns above the beach. In about 30 km from Sirili and some 50 km from Chania, you reach one of the most famous beaches in Greece. It has been awarded in the past as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe. Apart from enjoying the magnificent beach you can also do some sightseeing in the ancient town of Falasarna.
