Gavalochori is a welcoming traditional village, surrounded by green olive groves. Its history and wonderfully restored stone houses have awarded the village a protected status. An 18th century two-roomed, arched olive oil press, the temples of Panagia and Agios Sergios, the old school, the famous Venetian Wells and the unique folkore museum are complementing this authentic Cretan village. Gavalochori is also a conveniently 45min drive from Chania airport.

The closest beach to Bleverde Estate and Gavalochori is the famous sandy bay of Almyrida. It is an old fish village, being rewarded with the EU Blue Flag for many years in a row.
