About the home

Villa Homer is a mews villa with the most amazing sea views. This villa has one bedroom. It is simply furnished with quality Cretian wooden furniture, it has a fitted kitchen with electric cooker, plus a washing machine. All the usual necessities of holiday life are provided.

The villa has a huge upstairs balcony for entertaining or al fresco eating if liked. This villa books very quickly as it has been built for a while and people know it. The shared pool in its lush gardens is super. It has a large sofa which flattens out to a small double bed. New this season this has been fitted with an extra water tank to guard against any shortage. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. It is also air-conditioned.

The Crete region

The White Mountains dominate this area of sandy beaches and traditional villages. The area is becoming more developed and tourist facilities more sophisticated whilst retaining it's Greek atmosphere.

The large bay that makes up the seaside resorts of Almirida, Kalives and Kalami has many separate sandy beaches, usually with full facilities. All of these beaches are safe for children because they shelve very gently into the sea.

There are plenty of good quality, reasonably priced tavernas at or near the beaches. Kalives is a working village as well as being a tourist destination so you will find many local shops as well as a fairly big Inka supermarket. Banking, post office and petrol station facilities are available in Kalives and in Vamos.

The Chania / Almyrida area

The cosmopolitan town of Chania has been voted the most beautiful on Crete and rightly so, with the White Mountains as a backdrop, its Venetian harbour, museums, fascinating indoor market and an old quarter of narrow streets packed with interesting shops, Chania offers something for most visitors.

It is a vibrant lively town steeped in Byzantine, Venetian and Turkish history. The harbour area is a great place to sit and watch the world go by or you may like to try the park on Tzanakaki Street where there is a popular cafe tucked away in the trees.

Chania is easily accessible from all of our properties either by bus, taxi or car.

A non-refundable deposit of 10% (minimum £50.00 per week) is required to secure your reservation. A provisional booking will be held for 24 hours so that you can arrange your flights and car hire if necessary.

Balance payments are expected 6 weeks prior to arrival.

Payment is accepted by cash or by cheque. Details will be sent in your confirmation letter.

Should you wish to make any amendments to your booking we will endeavour to fulfil your requirements but an admin charge will be made for this. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you.
