The Crete region

Stavros is a great spot for a relaxed stay next to the

shallow water of the cove. The circular beach around

the cove is pleasantly catered with umbrellas and sun


It is a popular summer destination among the locals

but the limited tourist development leaves the cove

with its natural beauty. There are a couple of taverns

and bars for a snack.

Akrotiri Region is a place for nature lovers, with

interesting walking and hiking paths through the

unspoiltm gorges with amazing diversity, natural

beauty and living traditions. With picturesque sandy

beaches, all awarded with the Blue Flag, century-old

monasteries and churches, impressive caves with

rich lithological and archaeological interest, historical

monuments, Akrotiri attracts many visitors every year,

who enjoy Cretan hospitality and nature at their best.
