Chamrousse is a hidden gem of a ski resort with uncrowded pistes and a modern lift sytem. The aprtment is in an ideal position only a few metres from the piste,lifts and ski school meeting point. Built only a few years ago, the aprtment is on the 1st floor with a very large balcony which captures the sun for most of the day. The aprtment has its own heated outdoor pool and hot tub. The sking in chamrousse is exceptional and enjoys long blues and greens in the trees or reds and black above the tree line.It is the perfect intermediates resort and ultra convinient

The apartment has 2 bedrooms with twin beds and a sofa bed in the lounge area. The kitchen is compact and has everything needed for up to 6 persons. The lounge has a tv and dvd player and the kitchen has a dishwasher. The balcony is a suntrap and has a small table and chairs and sun loungers. A seperate ski locker is provided. The apartment has a modern bathroom and seperate toilet.

The timber clad aprtment is on the 1st floor of a low rise (3 storrey) block consisting of only 9 aprtments. The developer has hidden away the apartments amongst the trees but yet everything has been made as convienient as possible. The apartment shares a heated pool and there are several restaurants and bars within a short walk. There are 2 ski hire shops as well as a small supermarket proving everything you may need. The ski school meeting place is virtually outside the apartment as is the children ski creche and kindergarten.

We operate a friday changeover so as to benefit from lower travel costs.Linen can be rented locally and a small charge is made for cleaning at the end of your stay.
The Rhone / French Alps / Isere region
Chamrousse was put on the ski map as the venue for the 68 Grenoble Olympics down hill famously won by Jean Claude Killy. The resort consists of 3 separate area at 1600, 1750 at 1700 that provide a linked ski area of over a 100kms. Within a hour os it is possible to visit various other ski resorts such as Les duex alps. The Views from the piste over the valley to Grenoble is truly breathtaking
The Chamrousse area
The resort is at a very snow sure 1750 metres and the resort has invested in lots of snow making over the last few years and is therefore a perfect place to go for that early or late ski trip. The modern lift systems of 4, 6 or 8 man chairs mean that you can ski the entire area without using the dreaded buttons and the new gondo;a lift can whisk you from 1600 to the top. Beginners are well catered for with long tree lined green and blue runs. The areas above the tree line are more challenging and the men and womens olympic downhill runs should not be missed. The area has a fun park for borders and the off piste above chamrousse 1600 is awesome and takes many days to be skied out. All in all a wonderful and place to ski on uncrowded piste and enjoy all the mountains have to offer no matter what your ability.

Chamrousse is well served by Grenoble (60 mins) and Lyon (80 mins) and both have regular service from the budget airlines.( Ryan air and Easyjet) Car hire is available at both airports and a bus service or taxi is available from Grenoble airport. Chamrousse is in the western Alps and therefore one of the most accessible for British drivers being only a 40 min trip up the mountain from the peage.

We stayed at this apartment over New Year and had a great time. This modern apartment has everything you need for a great ski trip. Plenty of hot water and the heating worked fine. Ground floor with excellent views over the mountains.Ski hire and bar/restaurants with 100 yards. Lift connecting to all areas within 50 yards alongwith nursery slope and ski school. Very easy green run back to apartment for beginers. Quiet resort mainly for intermediate / beginers but has runs for everyone. Very kiddie friendly. Free bus service to othr resorts is great. |
