Our home is in a great spot on a beautiful development called Lake Wilson Preserve, in the sought after Champions Gate area. Its perfect for families wanting to enjoy the Disney parks or for groups of Golfers wanting to take advantage of the many championship courses nearby.
Golfers should look at the Champions Gate golf resort which has 2 Greg Norman designed championship courses as well as being the world HQ of the David Leadbetter golf academy. There are 6 other courses within 30 minutes drive.
We also recommend that try to get to the beach - the Atlantic coast is great for surfers and the Gulf coast offers an idyllic white sand coastline.
The house is finished to a luxury spec, with flat screen TV's in all rooms, 2 king sized beds, 1 queen size and 2 twins, a pool/spa overlooking a picturesque lake screened by woodland, a games room for the kids (and Dad's!) complete with top quality games tables, a second lounge ideal for the kids to wind down with a DVD after a busy day in the parks plus lots more!

The Florida / Orlando Disney Area
The Florida climate is stunning, with sunshine all year round.
This area offers so much contrasting activity, that is is only possible to mention a few highlights here. It is worth 'googling' the activities which are of specific interest to you. The most popular activities include the following:
- Disney/theme parks including Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, Sea Life centre, Typhoon Lagoon.
- Golf courses - central Florida is the home of many championship quality golf courses
- Beaches - head for the Atlantic coast for golden sand and world class surfing at Cocoa Beach or the Gulf Coast for powder white sand and an altogether more peaceful atmosphere!
- Kennedy Space Centre - well worth a visit and is only an hours' drive away (you might be luckty enough to catch a shuttle launch!)
- Shopping - Florida is renound for its wide range of high quality malls and outlet centres and for offering great bargains!
Champions Gate / Lake Wilson Preserve area
Whilst everything mentioned above is within easy reach, the Lake Wilson Preserve offers a peaceful and secluded setting within a walled estate of just 96 properties.
There are all local amenities including a very nice supermarket (Publix), stores and restaurants of every kind. Food is a big deal in Florida and you can either eat out or enjoy cooking at home, relax on the sun terrace and watch the sun set over the lake.
How to get there
Our home is very easy to get to, with a choice of three airports within driving distance. Orlando International is 30 minutes drive and Sanford and Tampa are about 75 minutes drive. If you are not used to driving in the States, this part of Florida is a good way to start as the road system is straightforward and very well signposted. Also, we have a Sat Nav available for you to use which we have programmed with details of our home plus all the obvious local attractions. This is available at a small charge (far cheaper than hiring from the car hire companies!) Its worth shopping around on flights to get the times and prices you are looking for, and we suggest that whilst Orlando International is the most convenient airport, if the flights are better going into Sanford its worth considering the slightly longer drive as it really is very easy. On car hire companies, there are plenty to choose from, but in our experience, Alamo and Thrifty are pretty good.

Further details indoors: We have furnished this house with the aim of exceeding your expectations so that you will want to come back again and recommend our home to your friends. We know that certain things make all the difference which is why we have invested in top of the range mattresses on all beds,large flat screen TV's, crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen, luxury towels, including beach towels for your use on the sun terrace, a cooler box for outings, board games and DVDs, a well equipped kitchen including a cocktail area with all the equipment you need to make your favourite cocktails, a lovely outdoor eating area so you can make the most of the beautiful Florida weather etc. If we have forgotten anything, we hope you will tell us!
Further details outdoors: A key feature of our home is the large south facing sun terrace, complete with private pool and spa. There is a large area for sun loungers or shaded area if you prefer. Most people use the outdoor dining table for meals to make the most of the climate and the views.
The patio doors are fitted with alarms which sound if you don't press the button, meaning that you will know straight away if the kids open the door - a safety feature to give you peace of mind with little ones and the pool.
If you would like us to arrange for BBQ/Grill to be available for your use, we can hire one in at a competitive cost. (health and safety rules prevent us from making one routinely available)
