The flat is centrally located in Chamonix within 100m of our office and the Aiguille du Midi cable car. The bus stop to the ski lifts is 300m away. Our flats have free parking outside or in a communal car park. There are shops, bars and restuarants in the square outside.

The flat has a good sized balcony and views of Mont Blanc. It has a kitchenette (hob, kettle, fridge, ovenette), TV with DVD, stereo, bathroom with bath and shower. The flat is arranged over two floors with a double bed and a single bed upstairs on a mezzanine and a double futon downstairs in the lounge area. There is no door between the two, but upstairs is privately separate with a skylight window.

We have an office within a two minute walk of the property an staff that show you in and are on hand throughout your stay to help with any queries or advice.

The flat has a good sized balcony and views of Mont Blanc. It has a kitchenette (hob, kettle, fridge, ovenette), TV with DVD, stereo, there is also a selection of books and magazines.

The bathroom has a bath with shower over it and has unlimited hot water as the flat is supplied by a large communal boiler for the building. The flat has lift access to the floor it is on (fourth).

The flat is provided with bedding, linen and towels ready for use.

Staff are on hand throughout your stay to show you in and help / advise as we have a Chamonix office.

All people must pay a £1 per person per night tourist tax which is added to your invoice and is paid on your behalf to the Chamonix Town Hall. We provide a Tourist Tax card in return on arrival.

A damage deposit is taken in the form of a credit / debit card impression on arrival.

The Rhone/French Alps region

The French Alps have offered famous ski resorts for hundreds of years, and Chamonix is one of the most famous as it sits at the foot of Mont Blanc which at 4810m is the highest mountain in Europe.

The winter is ski season from December through to May, although the best snow is usually from February onwards. As the resort is a high resort at over 1000m it has a longfer ski season than most resorts and good snow in March and April is not usual. The resort is also famous for ski touring and is the start of the famous Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route ski tour (this can also be done as a hiking tour in summer)

In the summer Chamonix is as busy as the winter with temperatures of 30 degrees in the valley. The area is great for mountaineering, hiking, walking, paragliding and even mountain biking with cross country and downhill trails.

Chamonix

The famous places to visit are the Aiguille du Midi cable car which goes up to 3842m so is the highest in Europe with fantastic views of Mont Blanc and the high mountains. There is also a cable car down to the Mer de Glace glacier and ice cave.

For attractions Chamonix hosts the Rock Climbing World cup championships in mid July, a paragliding festival from Mont Blanc at the start of September, the Kandahar stage of the downhill ski championships in January and the North Face Ultratrail marathon in August.

"Excellent value accomodation in the centre of Chamonix"

I used Icilcle for the first time last year - and to be honest we were looking for tight budget accomodation in expensive Chamonix for two weeks for four friends - we looked at hotels but the prices were prohibitive.
Someone mentioned skipods to me and I had a look at their website, and when I saw the prices I jumped and just booked, I'm glad I did as it was perfect - one large room with 2 single 1 double VERY comfortable beds - a metric ton of wardrobe space, A BATH! and a gorgeous little balcony, a coffee filter, secure building, a FABULOUS view, lively area, great transport, parking, a wee stove (which wasn't the best in the world, but we managed) a fridge, a sofa which was also room for two to kip if we'd fancied guests, a cute little mezzanine for the couple.
And all for less than £20 quid each a night.

This isn't fancy accomodation - this is for those who don't mind bunking in a big room with friends/family - I imagine not everyone gets on that well with their mates but frankly it was like super-hostel - only sharing bathrooms and amenities with your mates rather than strangers, and safer! It was also clean, which is SO IMPORTANT - a little dated in decor, but that just made it cuter.

I would definitely recommend it - only thing to be aware of it's in Chamonix Sud - not the quietest part of town but we had no issues sleeping, not for those with VERY sensitive hearing though. However within walking distance of some of the liveliest bars if you like a party!

Service is great too - quick responses and really friendly, which considering they're so cheap is a miracle. Thoroughly worth it!
